Cazoo appoints Abhishek Roy as European Managing Director

…as it plans to launch in Germany and France later this year

Cazoo (NYSE: CZOO), the UK’s leading online car retailer, which makes buying and selling a car as simple and seamless as ordering any other product online, today announced that it has appointed Abhishek Roy as its European Managing Director.

Abhishek is a digital executive with 15 years’ management experience in European consumer technology businesses, with a particular focus in the automotive industry. Abhishek recently led the sale of eBay’s leading Nordic ecommerce platforms, dba and bilbasen, where he was CEO, to the Schibsted Media Group. Abhishek has also been Chief Product Officer at, Germany’s largest car marketplace where he helped scale the company. He has also held several strategy and operations roles at eBay Europe and started his career as an analyst for Oliver Wyman. He holds a degree in Economics from Cambridge University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Abhishek will join the Cazoo Executive team and report to Cazoo’s Group Chief Operating Officer Paul Whitehead. He will be responsible for the launch of Cazoo across Europe and will grow the current team of over 300 over the coming months as Cazoo executes on its European expansion with a planned launch in France and Germany before the end of this year.
