If you change your mind, we'll collect it and give you a full refund.

We have a great team of over 1,750 staff who are passionate about delivering great customer experiences and whose mission is to ensure that you love both the Cazoo car buying experience and the car.

Alex Chesterman OBE, Founder & CEO

Alex is one of the UK's leading digital entrepreneurs and has spent the last twenty years using technology to improve sub-optimal consumer experiences. In 2003, he co-founded LoveFilm which transformed the DVD rental market in the UK. In 2008, he founded Zoopla which delivered greater transparency and efficiency to the property market. Alex founded Cazoo in 2018 to make car buying as simple as buying any other product online today.

Stephen Morana, Chief Financial Officer

Stephen is regarded as one of the most experienced CFOs in the UK online sector and has significant experience from start-ups to the FTSE 100. He has floated two leading digital businesses in recent years, Betfair and ZPG, both achieving multi-billion pound valuations. Stephen is currently the senior independent director at FTSE 100 listed GVC Holdings.

Jonathan Howell, Chief Technology Officer

Jonathan joined Cazoo from MADE.com where he spent five years as Chief Technology Officer and grew the technology and product management teams to 100 people, supporting significant revenue growth as well as the expansion of the business to become a market leader in Europe. Prior to that Jonathan was CTO of Huddle.com and held various positions at Lastminute.com and IBM.

Paul Whitehead, Chief Commercial Officer

Prior to joining Cazoo, Paul was Chief Strategy Officer at ZPG Plc where he was responsible for strategic direction, M&A and partnerships as well as investments and management of its international businesses. Prior to that, he was Commercial Director at uSwitch and has over 20 years of experience in managing and growing consumer technology businesses.

Fern Wake, Chief of Operations

Fern joined Cazoo after having been Chief Operating Officer at Farmdrop, where she oversaw a team of 180 across purchasing, distribution and fulfilment. She has over 20 years’ experience in operational and distribution roles, having been Group Operations Director at LoveFiLM running operations across Europe and prior to that as one of the earliest UK employees in operations at Amazon. 

Darren Bentley, Chief Customer Officer

Darren has over 15 years’ experience in key customer and marketing roles and was most recently at MoneySuperMarket where he was Chief Customer Officer, responsible for brand, digital marketing, CRM, customer insight, PR and customer service. Darren is responsible for digital and brand marketing, customer experience and insight and PR at Cazoo.

Piers Stobbs, Chief Data Officer

Piers joined Cazoo from MoneySuperMarket, where he spent four years as Chief Data Officer, heading up all aspects of Data Science, Data Engineering and Analytics. Prior to this, he led the Data Science team at dunnhumby, driving the utilisation of advanced machine learning methods across the business. Piers has over 20 years' experience in data and analytics across multiple industries in both the UK and the US.

Ned Staple, General Counsel

Prior to joining Cazoo, Ned spent 5 years as General Counsel and Company Secretary at ZPG Plc, including the listing of Zoopla, multiple acquisitions in the property, price comparison and data sectors and culminating in ZPG Plc's takeover in 2018. Prior to that he was a solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer working on M&A, IPOs, joint ventures and commercial contracts and was seconded to Apple’s legal team for iPhone.
