I have finally bought a good car at a decent price. What is dreadful is the complete lack of communication or lack of ownership between site and the central teams. Turning up to site and no one has told them. Arranging finance that no one has been made aware of. Trying to get my holding deposit returned (£500 for V5 document) still not happened. Site blame central teams. Central blame site but in the end no one actually seems to care. So in short, if you have the patience of a saint you will get a decent deal. The pain involved in getting it over the line is demoralising.
Great overall experience, couldn't be easier. Reserved car for test drive and collect from Portsmouth branch. Car was ready and waiting when we arrived, 5 mins to sort out paperwork and your off. Having travelled 60+ miles to nearest branch I was slightly nervous effectively buying on-line as I hadn't obviously seen car prior to arrival, as you would with normal dealer purchase. Needn't have worried, outside a few minor stone chips and some light scratches. They try and sell you various paint protection warranties and interior coatings and floor mats etc, which are great options but expensive for what they are (Note: They will discount if you initially refuse). Maybe people want these extras, but salesman seemed genuinely disappointed when we didn't take any (Obviously commission based). Overall very happy with process.
