I have had my MG with them for over a year now. for the past 6 weeks it has been sat in their repair / service centre in Salford. I get the occasional call saying that it will be fixed soon. it isn't fixed yet. I was not offered a hire car at first i had to complain then got offered one,while being told my car will be fixed in a couple of days. it is a company car and we are paying fpor the car and not being able to use it. No sorry no call to find out how they can help me .
We visited our local Arnold Clark with the idea of having a look around a Citroen Spacetourer to see if it would meet our needs. We were greeted warmly on entry, and guided to a salesman to assist us. Iain was brilliant, taking time to understand what we needed from a car, and then allowed us to take a good look at the car before taking it for a test drive. Once this was successful, we then discussed the budget available, and were able to come to a deal which included the vehicle, paintwork protection and a service plan, and arranged delivery of the vehicle very quickly! Iain kept us updated as the car progressed, and we arrived at our appointment knowing that we were ready to go, and after signing the paperwork we were off in our new car! As promised, Iain also rang later on in the week after we collected the car to check that everything was OK, which it was. Overall, a very easy and pleasant transaction, and I feel like we got a very good deal, and I would certainly revisit when I'm next due a vehicle.
We own a Renault 5 electric, in the first couple of months of ownership all the electronics failed the car had to limp back to Arnold Clark’s for a reset. A couple of months ago I was forced into a hedge and punctured 2 tyres Arnold Clark did not have any spares in stock. Today, the car could not find the keycard so had to put it on the card reader, quite a pain to find the reader, once found the car started but would not go into gear. This took 10 minutes to start working. This then happened again- took 20 minutes to work this time. Phoned Arnold Clark for advice - to say they couldn’t give a dam would be an understatement. By far the worst customer service I have had to deal with in a long time! My other car is a Chinese made electric one such a better car and service.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Thomas McCall, and I can honestly say it was an outstanding car-buying experience from start to finish. Thomas was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He took the time to understand and answered all of my questions clearly, and made sure I felt confident in my decision. There was never any pressure — just honest guidance and excellent customer service. He truly went above and beyond to make everything smooth and stress-free. Took a service plan out when i bought my car. Two service in the plan. Plus two MOT's Never used the MOT's and had first service done. Went to book second service. Which was over due (my fault) but they would not honor the service plan. Very poor customer service from a big company. Yet another lost customer.
Drew our sales person very helpful in all aspects of our purchase including arranging finance Very happy with cost of vehicle No hidden addition costs that you sometimes encounter that are added onto price. Whole process painless which is not always the case when you purchase a new vehicle!!
