Arnold Clark Salford Vauxhall/Fiat/Abarth/MG/Jeep
1 Brunel Avenue, Salford, M5 4BE
My partner and I purchased a car from Arnold Clark last Autumn. Despite hearing really bad experiences that friends and family have had, Arnold Clark seem to have a monopoly on the west of Scotland car market so we begrudgingly purchased with them. Any hope I had that maybe our experience would be different was very mistaken. Since purchase, our car has had nothing but issues, we had it in to get it fixed under the guarantee, but they did not look at half the stuff that we requested them to. They returned the car with the issues still present and unresolved. Promises of callbacks and fixes never came To anything. Now they refuse to look at the issues because the 60 days guarantee has passed despite the fact that we flagged these issues well within the 60 days. Every time you speak to someone, you just have to explain the story over and over again and then when they eventually get back to you, they are missing half the details. An absolute bunch of charlatans that will try anything to get out of just doing their job. Great when they want you to buy but their after service staff are incredibly rude. Linzi at their Partick branch is weirdly combatative and defensive and seems to take any valid complaint about the company as a personal insult. Horrible company, horrible service and horrible staff. I won’t make a mistake of purchasing with Arnold Clark again and hope none of my friends and family will either.
My initial was handled by sales manager Ryan McColl who was polite articulate and friendly and after discussing the Mini we were looking to buy he put me in the safe hands of Jennifer Cunningham who was a joy to deal with from start to finish, she had previously sold my daughter a Mini Cooper S two years previously. We decided on a Mini Countryman S all four in British racing green with a black roof and it is stunning and a dream to drive but don't be fooled by the tag Mini as this car is huge ,we can't wait for Spring to arrive. Many thanks to All the team at Mini Irvine and we'll be seeing you again . Kieran and Mary Heffernan.
Picker up the cat at mk, Bethany who we dealt with at Mk was brilliant but the York branch let down my full experience. The car left York and wasn't checked, the boot had the wrong board on so I can't use it. Very different when I have a mb 18 month old and I have a buggy. Drove to york, the manager Toby spoke to me once and then sat back down. The man on tge service desk dealt with me and was very good, they ordered me a new boot support but haven't told me when its dye to arrive, which is really bad service. My daughter was on half term last week and she and me wasted our time in the garage on Wednesday having it sorted. I had to keep chasing as it was sat outside waiting but no urgency was made by them. Why they need managers as thry just sit there, Adam could not be bothered to get up and Toby wasn't great. First experience of this new car have failed the excitement of getting a new car. The phone lines keep you on hold for ages, overall they dont look after the customers. I have waisted petrol going back to mk again and visiting the york branch.
TOOK MY CAR INTO VOLVO STIRLING AS ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT WAS ON.SPENT £1500.00 THE FIRST TIME THEY SAID IT WAS SORTED. BUT 77 MILES LATER LIGHT WAS BACK ON.TOOK IT BACK IN FOR 2ND DIAGONOSTIC NO LUCK. I THEN GOT THEM TO FIT ADBLU TANK AND PUMP HOPING THIS WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM BUT NO THE LIGHT IS BACK ON.TOOK IT BACK TO GARAGE FOR 3RD DIAGONOSTIC NOW THEY ARE SAYING IT IS NOW THE CATALIC CONVERTER AND GOING TO COST £2568. I SAID WILL THIS SOLVE THE PROBLEM THEY SAID NOT SURE UNBELIEVABLE. I WOULD NOT USE THIS GARAGE AS THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING I AM CERTAINLY NEVER USING THIS GARAGE AGAIN
