I has a fantastic experience buying my car from Arnold Clark. John O’Donnell was friendly, knowledgeable, and never pushy, which made a big difference. Excellent, staff who provided first class service . The vehicles were presented extremely well in a very good showroom. Very smooth transition from browsing to collection. Very nice unexpected cleaning kit, roadside assistance kit, bag and drinker bottle left for us in the boot on collection.
I traveled from London to Glasgow to collect a car, but it was a total disaster. The video sent by the salesman was misleading it conveniently hid a burn mark on the passenger headrest and peeling plastic on the console. When I pointed out the damage and scratches, the staff were very rude. They told me, It’s a used car, not a new £50k one, and said I should expect this. As soon as I signed the papers, the salesman said, our job is done now, and showed no interest in helping. To make things worse, on my drive back to London, the "Low Engine Oil" light came on. So much for their "full inspection." They just wanted my signature and didn't care about the quality of the car. I deeply regret choosing this branch. I had a much better, more professional deal on the table at Arnold Clark Wigan, but I decided to trust the Glasgow Chery branch after receiving messages from their management. That was a mistake. While I was being kept busy with deposits, endless paperwork, my husband was inspecting the car and finding several issues. Every time he raised a valid concern about the car's condition, the salesman became dismissive, hiding behind company policy or standard and reminding us it was a used car. The atmosphere was cold there was no greeting and no professional courtesy. Honestly, the way we were treated made it feel like they were doing us a favor or giving us the car for free, rather than us spending our hard-earned money. The sales team relied on the fact that we were exhausted from our long journey from London to push the deal through. They ignored the defects we found and rushed the process. I am very disappointed that I left a professional team in Wigan for such an unprofessional experience in Glasgow. I have now involved the finance company to resolve this. Extremely unprofessional. Do not trust their "brilliant condition claims"
I have purchased well into double digits of cars from AC Linwood Seat/Skoda, and specifically from James and his team. Cannot fault the service. Professional, efficient, funny, and absolutely none of that stereotypical salesman rubbish which I appreciate. Would buy again without hesitation. Keep it up guys!
From start to finish there service was amazing they made my experience so good quick and easy Sam and the manager were so good at there job took there time to explain everything showed me the basic of my bmw I would definitely go there again to buy a car I’m so happy with my purchase well done Arnold Clark
