Zoe went in for a service and 12v battery change when picked up the car would not charge on AC when I recontacted to have this addressed was advised that they are not EV certified and could not resolve the issue this is a catastrophic customer service experience and I am waiting for the franchise manager to call me.
Shaun and Gary are these best ever! Really looked after us every time we want another car. Nothing is too much bother. These two guys are an absolute asset to Evan halshaw kilmarnock. Do not use BYD Shrewsbury. I purchased a vehicle for £15,540 after being assured it was in "fantastic condition" and only had a few minor cosmetic defects. When it arrived, the reality was completely different. The car was filthy inside and out, with undisclosed dents, scratches, stains, strong dog odour, missing items (including floor mats, parcel shelf, ISO Fixings and Headrest fixings), and numerous defects that should have been obvious during any basic inspection. It appeared neither prepared nor quality checked before delivery. I submitted a detailed complaint with around 50 photos within 30 minutes of delivery and exercised my right to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act. From that point onwards, communication was extremely poor. I repeatedly had to chase for updates regarding collection, refund arrangements, warranty cancellations and service plans. Different staff provided conflicting information, promised updates never arrived, and basic questions went unanswered. My current email thread totals 58 emails in the chain. To make matters worse, a recovery driver arrived unannounced to collect the vehicle, and documented 76 separate issues during collection. The driver was professional, but the lack of communication from the dealership was unacceptable. I could continue on for paragraphs the situation was that bad. The entire experience was shambolic. Customer service was non existent and I would never recommend this dealership based on my experience. Update: over the last 2 weeks they have refused to cancel my warranty, which can only be done via the garage.
Purchased a nearly new vehicle 18 months ago and upon the advice of the salesperson we paid an additional £700 plus for what was sold as a nationwide 2yr warranty - and take your car to any Evans Halshaw for repair. The vehicle developed a fault, 2 local Evans Halshaw refused to take the car (we live over 100 miles from the supplying dealer). Challenged Evans Halshaw Wakefield who agreed (eventually) to look at the car. Promised a call the following Monday to arrange. 4 weeks later still nothing. Emailed the head of business (Jake Allen) twice and phoned, all completely ignored. The warranty is not fit for purpose and service from Evans Halshaw Wakefield is shocking!
