Bought a 2020 Citroën C5 Aircross from Arnold Clark less than a year ago. The car is now facing a major emissions/DPF issue with a quote of around £1,849 at only about 52,000 miles, being treated as “normal wear and tear”. In my opinion, a customer buying from a main dealer should not be facing this kind of major repair bill less than a year after purchase. Communication has been absolutely terrible. I have been chasing Arnold Clark Customer Services since 11/06 and still have not received a proper written response. The biggest joke is that Arnold Clark tells customers to contact Customer Services by email, but in my case Customer Services simply do not answer properly at all. Perth Citroën branch says they are waiting on Customer Services because they cannot speak for Arnold Clark as a whole, while Customer Services / Head Office provide no clear accountability. The customer is left stuck between branch, warranty, manufacturer, finance company and head office. A Parking Assistance fault was also reported and still has not been clearly confirmed as repaired. This is not the level of service anyone should expect from a main dealer. Poor communication, poor aftersales support, no clear responsibility, and no proper written answers. I have full emails, dates, diagnostic reports and complaint records to evidence every point. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Arnold Clark Perth Citroën or Arnold Clark Customer Services.
Excellent customer service from JJ salesman. Very friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy which always makes a better experience in my opinion. Only reason it's not a 5 as within ten minutes of getting car it had a warning light appear but got fixed the next day however it has come on again. This will be fixed next week but very inconvenient as I am 28 weeks pregnant and trying to schedule appointments around not having a car whilst it's in getting fixed.
I really would like to give you -10 stars but unfortunately there was no option!! I rejected a brand new car that you mis sold to me . I discovered that it had a known Vauxhall manufacturer fault with both wing mirrors that affects visibility. You have told me that this is a no fix fault which means it cannot be fixed. You did not tell me about this known Vauxhall manufacturers ‘no fix’fault when you were selling the car to me to make me aware of it and have the choice as to if I was ok with it. I rejected the car within 30 days of purchase as the law Consumer rights Act 2015 says that I’m entitled to do but you have refused to fairly cancel the agreement regarding this car and refund all my monies. You also took an upfront cash payment for a service plan and also double charged me for it by adding it to the financial agreement so I’ve had to pay twice for it. You’ve had the car for over a month in your garages which is from about a few days since I bought it. You’ve known about the faults for all this time yet you insist that I should come to now collect the car that I’ve rejected. I have now contacted trading standards at Trafford council and reported this to one of the local councillors there too. My experience with you has been a nightmare and I’ve been left with no car and as such, not been able to get to work or continue with my livelihood but have still had to pay for this car!! I have felt that I now have to report this despicable experience which I am still suffering on trust pilot as I think other people need to be warned against trusting you to provide them with a car that is fit for purpose, satisfactory or safe. You sent me a text saying that the case is closed and you have failed to give the necessary updates and reports to the organisations that I have reached out to , to help me. They all say that they have been waiting for a response from you. This has been since 3rd June and it’s now 9th July !!! Your slogan is ‘ your life made easy ‘ but this a so far from the truth and reality. Instead of realising the promise of a new dream car , Your company has made my life an absolute nightmare at the moment!
