Avoid using this company at all costs. I bought a car in September 2024 and only had the vehicle 18 months and the wet belt snapped due to Arnold Clark not servicing the vehicle before I became the owner. I was then faced with a £1400 bill to cover the new wet belt cost and was told that this was not covered under warranty even tho the vehicle has only covered 31,000 miles and the wet belt is not due to be replaced until 50,000/70,000 miles. I contacted Arnold Clark for assistance on this matter on the 25th June and was told that someone would contact me back and here we are 6th July and not one person has bothered to contact me. They are quick enough to take your money and sell you a vehicle but if anything goes wrong with it and is potentially covered under warranty they don’t want to know. I’ve been a customer of Arnold Clark for about 10 years since I started driver but enough is enough, I’ll never buy another vehicle from Arnold Clark if this is the sort of aftercare you get! Shocking how you can get away with treating customers like this.
The whole experience with Arnold Clark was brilliant this is the second time I’ve got a car from them and everything ran smoothly my consultant was Syed he was amazing very kind and pleasant very knowledgeable and explained everything made sure I understood everything at no point did I feel rushed or pressured into buying the car
We have just purchased our new family car with Matt he was very patient with my needs and found the perfect car for me he answered all questions and has made sure our minds are at rest in our choice had a follow up chat this evening again all my questions were answered to a satisfying standard
