I requested a purchase price for my lease vehicle and was quoted £12,000 + £200 RFL. After checking the market, I found multiple equivalent vehicles (same model, similar or lower mileage and spec) available from dealerships in the £10,000–£10,500 range, with some even listed below £10,000. Despite raising this and providing context, I was told the price was non-negotiable. This puts the buyout significantly above market value, making it poor value compared to simply buying the same car elsewhere. It also feels like a missed opportunity for a straightforward sale without remarketing costs. The process itself was straightforward, but the pricing approach was disappointing and ultimately meant I chose not to proceed.

Hi, I purchased a Vehicle from Lancaster and had it transfered to Birtley. The people at Lanchester Dawn and Michael were great and really helpful. When collecting the vehicle from Birtley, I had a poor exeriance. It seemed no one really cared, this purchase was £9000 which is small in comparison to a new car. However, I expect treatment as of such. The car was second hand, unfortunately it had a bad smell and the exterior was a bit unclean. I had to get this car valet the following day. When trying to drive away the car was left with 10% battery. Which was not even enough to get home. This car was handed to me with full knowledge of this, as the dealer drove the car to the front. The car was beeping the whole time due to the battery being low. Bear inimd I paid £20 for fuel when purching the car. Thankfully they charged it for me. Unfortunately, it was VIA company card which would not allow me to unlock the charging point. As the branch was closed I could not ask for assistance. I arrived for my 18:00 appointment at 17:50 and did not leave the branch until 20:30. Not great.
