Oscar at Renault Hillington was extremely helpful during the entire process and kept me well informed about the status of delivery for my new Renault 5. Oscar is very knowledgable about the product and clearly loves cars. He was very patient and able to fully answer all of my questions about my first EV. I appreciate the time he spent on this and I’m absolutely delighted with my new car!
Avoid at all costs. Bought a diesel 2022 plate crossland in 2024 from Brettle Lane Stourbridge. Had two years service and two years warranty plan also. In November 2025 engine management light on the dash board. Took car back several times but fault kept on coming back. Arnold Clark changed several unnecessary parts on the car which did not cure the fault. They then advised me to get a DPF clean. HOWEVER BECAUSE THEY DID NOT COVER THIS ON THE WARRANTY IT WAS UP TO ME TO PAY FOR IT. I reluctantly agreed and car went in to Arnold Clark again and this cost me ÂŁ400. Suprise Suprise this did not work and light returned. When I challenged the service manager the response was " it's a chance you take and it could of worked , also service desk commented i should of bought a petrol. " Most helpful. Arnold Clark then told me to go to main dealer as they had no ideas. They said i would need new DPF unit at a cost to me of three thousand pounds.Basically I was dismissed. Decided to get independent DPF specialist out who quickly diagnosed that the parts that Arnold Clark had supposedly changed had not been done and the dpf unit had not even been removed from the car. The specialist changed the ad blue injector and reset the car . This cost me again three hundred pounds but not the three thousand I nearly paid. I have submitted twice a full report and documentation to Arnold clark customer services weeks ago but no response as of yet. BEFORE YOU BUY OFF ARNOLD CLARK CHECK YOU WARRANTY AS THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND DID UNESSARY WORK.THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN SELLING THE CAR AND NOTHING ELSE.
Arnold Clark Huddersfield is right up top in my world at the moment. Its hard to find a company, this big, who seriously do care about their customers. Selling cars is a serious, fast moving, time consuming, often frustrating, yet personal business. To deliver service in the way I experienced, in large part delivered by our consultant, king of salesmen, Qassim Khan, then it must come from the heart. I bet Arnold Clark is smiling wherever he is. He would be so proud. If the whole Arnold Clark empire works to this standard across all its outlets, I would be amazed. Its impossible surely to repeat this at everyone of their branches, yet my experience is without fault every step of the way. By the way the cars pretty good as well. Message to Omoda UK, if you can match the Arnold Clark experience and the product delivers then what a terrific partnership there is to build. South Street Glasgow branch a true and honest review of the experience I’ve had with this branch. I had a very disappointing experience with Arnold Clark South Street and would strongly advise others to approach with caution. My first purchase from this branch went smoothly, which gave me confidence to return the following month to buy a second car. Unfortunately, that experience was completely different. The second vehicle, a BMW, registered YY71 FSL turns out to have a serious gearbox fault—the gearbox had been damaged and required full replacement. I gave the branch the opportunity to resolve the issue, but instead I was met with repeated delays and poor communication. Over the course of four weeks, I experienced ongoing frustration trying to speak with management. I was frequently told that they were unavailable—either on holiday, with another customer, or simply not in the branch. When I did manage to get responses, I was given conflicting information and promises that were not followed through. Calls that I was told had been made never actually happened, and the situation continually changed without resolution. I found the overall handling of the situation to be unprofessional and, at times, misleading. It also appeared that my consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 were not being properly acknowledged. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this branch. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle here DONT. Staff to avoid cause they lie and don’t return calls are the General Manager , Sales Manager and Head of Business. Names removed as they don’t like it as they didn’t like to be named and shamed but can get full names off the branch website. HONEST REVIEW. Sorry if the staff can’t handle the truth.
