Disorganised and disappointed!! Was purchasing a Kia Ceed from Aberdeen dealership which I paid £199 to get the car transferred across to Inverness. Along with trading in my car. Travelled down from orkney on ferry which took 1.5 hours and then drive to inverness 2.5 hours. On drive down had a text message from sales asking for settlement letter for my car. So finance was clearly not through. I also had emailed the day before travelling to check the car would be ready as had given dates that i could go down and sales had agreed with date i had booked and was told car would be in inverness that afternoon the day before. Arrived at dealership to be asked have you got an appointment and told they weren't sure the car was there. I cant fault the inverness staff who went over and above. However had to wait 3 hours to get the car as checks had to be done and finance. Never got my free gift. This is the 3rd car i have purchased from arnold clark and I think my next car will not be from arnold clark. No follow up hows you car? As in previous times this has been checked. But to honest i do not wish to communicate with the sales in aberdeen.
I recently purchased my Cupra Born from Paul Taylor and, as always, the experience was excellent. I have known Paul for many years and have personally bought 7 or 8 cars from him. My brother has bought several cars from Paul and my dad has also bought 5 or 6. That level of repeat business from one family really speaks for itself. Paul is honest, knowledgeable, professional and genuinely one of the nicest people you could deal with. There is never any pressure or sales nonsense. Everything is explained clearly, communication is excellent and he makes the whole process straightforward from start to finish. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Paul again and he is a genuine credit to Arnold Clark. Absolutely delighted with the Born and the service I received.
