Thinking of buying a used Jaguar F-Pace?

The style of the car

The F-Pace has the look and feel of an SUV and the sporty elements of a fast Jaguar saloon. It also has a large boot making it one of the most practical cars that Jaguar builds.

How it drives

The great petrol and diesel engines deliver plenty of power, while all versions provide Jaguar levels of comfort both in town and on long motorway drives. Sensors and safety systems help with tight parking. The F-Pace also makes a good tow car, especially with a diesel engine fitted.

The interior

The Jaguar F-Pace is a large car with plenty of space for five people and a boot that can easily accommodate several golf bags or suitcases. The interior features high-quality materials and luxurious leather with lots of leg and headroom for passengers. The driving position is good and the infotainment technology meets the needs of a modern family. Many cars come with optional extra equipment, such as back-seat entertainment systems.

Running costs and reliability

A used Jaguar F-Pace costs about the same as its competitors. The diesel engines, particularly the 20d, are the most popular and are very fuel-efficient on long motorway journeys, but the petrol engines can also deliver reasonable consumption figures. Insurance and road tax will cost a similar amount to rivals, as will servicing and maintenance costs. The F-Pace has scored better than some Jaguar models in reliability surveys, while safety is excellent with a maximum five-star rating from Euro NCAP.

How it compares with similar cars

The F-Pace is about the same size as the Audi Q5 and Lexus NX, both of which are close rivals. Great engines and comfort make it a better drive than many of its competitors. It’s so good that when it launched, it was named the World Car of the Year.
