Used Jaguar cars buying guide
Jaguar makes some of the most desirable cars you can buy, so whether you’re after a stylish and luxurious saloon or a spacious and family-friendly SUV, you’ll almost certainly find a car that’s right for you. There’s also a sporty two-seater, available as a coupe or convertible.
As well as petrol and diesel models, you can buy used Jaguar cars with pure-electric or plug-in hybrid power.
Which used Jaguar cars are for sale?
The range of used Jaguar cars includes saloon, estates, SUVs and sports cars.
There are three Jaguar SUVs, the smallest of which is the E-Pace. Every version is a five-door model, and you have a choice of petrol, diesel or a powerful plug-in hybrid. The larger F-Pace was Jaguar’s first SUV, offering an appealing combination of sporty styling, a luxurious interior and an enjoyable driving experience. The Jaguar I-Pace is a five-door pure-electric model that combines elements of SUV and Coupe. It’s a fraction shorter than the F-Pace but lower and sleeker.
The Jaguar XE is a mid-size saloon, while the XF is a large saloon or estate (Sportbrake) estate model. Finally, the F-Type is Jaguar’s two-seater sports car – it’s available as either a three-door coupe or two-door convertible.
Are there any hybrid or electric Jaguar models?
The Jaguar I-Pace was one of the world’s first pure-electric SUVs and, despite going on sale back in 2018, it remains as popular as ever. It’s all thanks to a combination of nearly 300 miles of range on a full charge, a roomy interior with space for five adults, a big boot and the latest technology. It’s also great to drive.
There are also two plug-in hybrid models. The E-Pace offers up to 37.9 miles of range according to official figures, while the larger F-Pace can manage 40.4 miles. In both cases, you need to remember to keep the battery charged.
What are the most popular Jaguar models?
Jaguar XE
The Jaguar XE is a mid-size four-door saloon that’s been on sale new since 2015. Updates have kept it fresh, especially in 2019, when Jaguar revamped the interior and improved the infotainment system. It’s offered with a range of petrol and diesel engines, and many versions have an automatic gearbox as standard.
Jaguar XF
The Jaguar XF is a large saloon or estate model (called Sportbrake) that is spacious and great to drive. There’s a choice of petrol and diesel engines, with four-wheel drive available as an option on most models. The Sportbrake is particularly practical, with a boot large enough for two large dogs to travel in comfortably.
Jaguar E-Pace
The Jaguar E-Pace is a small but practical SUV with five doors and space for four adults (or a fifth who doesn’t mind a tight squeeze). An update in 2021 included a more premium feel in the cabin and the option of a plug-in hybrid version.
Jaguar F-Pace
The F-Pace is Jaguar’s most popular SUV. Introduced in 2016 and updated in 2020, the F-Pace is spacious, practical and great to drive. It’s available with petrol or diesel engines or as a plug-in hybrid for low running costs and 40 miles of electric range.
Jaguar I-Pace
The Jaguar I-Pace is a sleek-yet-spacious electric SUV available since 2018. The I-Pace offers an official 300 miles of electric range, and is comfortable, well-equipped and surprisingly sporty.
Which Jaguar models are SUVs?
The Jaguar SUV models are the E-Pace, F-Pace and I-Pace. The E-Pace – the smallest of the three – is stylish, great to drive and comes with the option of a plug-in hybrid model. An update in 2021 improved the infotainment system, increasing the size of the display to 11.4 inches from 10.
Next up is the F-Pace, one of the most popular family SUVs thanks to its roomy interior, large boot, wide range of engines and a driving experience that feels more like a sports car than an SUV. It also offers the option of plug-in hybrid power.
Finally, the I-Pace is Jaguar’s pure-electric SUV. It’s great to drive, luxurious, spacious and, with the battery fully charged, it can travel up to 300 miles (according to official figures).
