From start to finish buying a Van from this company was a great experience. Specific thanks go to Louis my salesman who made buying my new van easy and painless. Normally I am quite apprehensive when buying a car from a trader due to pushy salesmen / techniques. It is not one of my favourite things to do. However, buying from Vans in St helens on this occasion, was a vastly different experience to any I've had before from other car dealers. Friendly genuine staff greeted me and made me feel relaxed instead of on edge. All of my questions were answered about the vehicle I purchased in detail. I felt my questions had been answered honestly, as opposed to telling me anything to make a quick sale. There was absolutely no pressure to buy a new car or part ex my own. Everything went according to plan. I was extremely happy with the service I received at Vans. Nothing was too much for them. After sales service has been impeccable also, and I have asked a few further questions about technical and general information about the vehicle which were answered promptly and in as much detail as I required them to be. I will definitely recommend Vans to my friends, family and colleagues, as I have already done since the purchase just yesterday. I would buy another vehicle from them again without hesitation. A perfect 5 star \U0001f31f rating for this team of professionals. Well done everyone. Bought a car from Vans North West on 15/05/26 and honestly couldn\u2019t fault the experience. Shaun was fantastic from start to finish \u2014 super helpful, knowledgeable, approachable, and always quick to respond to any questions I had throughout the process. From my initial enquiry, Shaun provided detailed high-resolution videos via WhatsApp of the exterior and interior of the car, which really helped build confidence before travelling to view it. Every query was answered promptly and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. When I arrived, the car was ready and immaculately prepared. I was given plenty of time to inspect everything properly and take the car for a test drive with absolutely no pressure selling at any point, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a genuinely smooth and stress-free buying experience and a credit to Shaun for how professionally everything was handled. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!! I purchased a Peugeot partner in July 2025 after 2 months of owning the vehicle it had an engine warning light and adblue emissions fault so I took it back to the dealer and I was advised that I had let the adblue run too low, 2 months after this the same adblue emissions fault came up on my screen along with the engine warning light again so I took it back to the dealer and they told me it was an adblue injector but I was outside of my warranty so i will have to pay for it fixed (\xa3330) so I paid it thinking that would be the last of it but 2 months after that the adblue emissions fault came back along side the the engine warning light so do the third time In 6 months I took it back to the dealership this time I was told I the DPF needed cleaning which they quoted me \xa3930 for, I said I am not happy paying it because this is the 3rd time I have been back with the same issue, they was adamant it was a new issue. After my van sitting on there forecourt for 3 months I had an independent inspection done which revealed that the adblue system had a pre existing fault and did not meet required standards, the vechile had now been rejected through my finance company.
There was an incident whilst travelling to purchase a van from here. The team were very helpful and kind. Adam was brilliant to speak to about the van I wanted into but and went over as above to update me and answer questions. He is incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I met the owner of the buisness and it\u2019s clear that this is an honest family buisness that you ca trust to do their right thing by you.
I have had the most terrible experience with vans North West ltd when purchasing a car on finance with them. I had found a vauxhall mokka x at \xa39000ish and asked if they would be willing to part ex my car to get me out of the finance with it so I could obtain new finance on the new vehicle. They agreed as long as I paid a partial settlement (1k) with the exchange. I arrived to view the mokka and it seemed fab in the brief 5minutes I was in the vehicle. Upon the vehicle delivery a few days later there was a very loud water swishing noise from the dashboard and the car felt off (I had had the vehicle in my posession for 24 hrs before reporting this) I asked my dad to have a look and he told me the water noise was the least of my worries as the automatic gearbox had gone. When changing gear past 40 the car juddered dangerously and I had had children in the car! I informed vans north west who tried to say there was nothing wrong when the car was delivered as it had a comprehensive RAC checklist and to take it to them for a service/look over. I took my dad with me at this point as a) someone needed to drive me home when I left the car and b) he could explain what was wrong with the car better and c) it simply wasn't safe for me to drive from Liverpool to St Helens so I had to take A roads and have someone there incase anything happened. The salesman tried saying nothing was wrong so my dad insisted on them taking the car out and the salesman was hesitant, he eventually agreed and when they returned back the car engine management and traction lights had come on and he admitted the car clearly had faults (something I feel they would have hidden from me had my dad not been persistent as they were so insistent nothing was wrong) They agreed to unwind the deal and return my part ex car and 1k and to refund me any fees I had incurred due to their sale of a faulty car. I am still \xa3263 out of pocket for insurance/admin change over fees due to me being a relatively new driver and stuck with hard searches on my credit report that I supposedly consented to when the finance company applied for credit (I did NOT consent to them applying to multiple lenders, JUST the one at the rate I agreed, so the fact they applied to others has destroyed my credit) I have emailed vans north west salesman I was dealing with numerous times to have my costs refunded as promised and am still waiting on them. I doubt I will get them back to be honest. The salesman even said and I quote "yeah we wont be selling that it would cost too much to repair will send it back to auction" He further emailed me to state after all that it was just the shock absorbers (I am very doubtful of that) So the comprehensive RAC check wasn't worth the paper it was written on regardless of the fault, it was faulty and sold faulty IMO knowingly. I wish I had read the negative reviews and saved myself this experience. Moral of the story if you are female, a new driver or inexperienced with cars give these a wide berth.
