Very very poor experience from this company (Stratstone Derby) to date, never again! Purchased what should've been an approved used Land Rover the end of February (2026). On the drive home I experienced a gearbox fault, then the next morning I realised the vehicle was due a service and wasn't done before I collected the motor. The drives door window switch was faulty. Also noticed the wheels had flaking on all 4 of them. Was advised to take it to my local dealer, which I did. After messing around wasting half of my day doing so, there was no outcome and they couldn't find the problem or fix the window switch. To save time, I then offered to drive the vehicle back to the original dealership (JLR Derby), even though the round journey there and back was 8 1/2 hours for me. After a FEW WEEKS I went back again (8 1/2 hours) to collect the vehicle after they had serviced it, refurbished the wheels, fixed the window switch and supposedly fixed the gearbox fault. Recently came back from a holiday with the family, got in the vehicle and had loads of warning lights on the dash & more problems with the vehicle. I had to drive home with the family with brake problems which wasn't nice in the slightest. The other alternative was to wait on the side of the road for hours for someone to come out to me in what was a heat wave at the time. After returning from holiday, a Jaguar Land Rover assistance came out to the vehicle and did their diagnostics to find out there is still a gearbox fault and multiple other issues with the vehicle including air suspension, brakes & gearbox. They recovered the vehicle back to Derby. Speaking to the dealership seeking rejection of the vehicle as you don't expect to purchase a motor and receive all of these problems, hassle and stress after paying a lot of money for what should be the best used approved Land Rovers on sale. They apparently don't accept this to be a rejection case. They obviously believe selling me a motor that behaves in this way is acceptable! After all of the problems with the vehicle they have now told me they will not accept the rejection, even though I haven't had the vehicle usable in my possession for longer than a couple of months. They are now forcing me to a rejection through the finance company, which is more inconvenience and stress. I was also promised a refund on fuel costs for taking the vehicle back to them originally which I have not received, I have chased this several times to no avail. So many problems to what should've been a simple purchase I believe the vehicle wasn't checked properly initially causing half of the problems and the way the dealership has dealt with the whole situation has been dreadful. This was supposed to be a family vehicle, but unfortunately I could not rely on or let the family use it because of the risk of breakdowns or leaving them stranded. Very disappointed in the whole experience and has cost me significant time, money and stress. The worst experience from a dealer in my life. The Motor Ombudsman will need to get involved if they don't pull their finger out.
Absolutely appalling experience with Mercedes-Benz of Leeds. I placed a deposit on a vehicle and travelled over 400 miles to collect it, only to be told when I arrived that the car had already been sold to someone else. This was completely unacceptable and left me out of pocket after a long journey. To make matters worse, they refused to refund my deposit. When I spoke to the manager, Zara, she was dismissive, rude, and unwilling to take responsibility for what had happened. There was no apology, no offer of compensation, and no attempt to resolve the situation professionally. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If a dealership cannot honour a deposit or at the very least refund it when they sell the car to someone else, it raises serious concerns about how they treat their customers. I would strongly advise anyone considering buying a car from Mercedes-Benz of Leeds to think carefully before doing business with them. Hassan Ali
Mini Siverlink has a brilliant customer care, they take time to explain and have great empathy with customer. All the staff from service manager Mark to Liam tech engineer to Paul Sothern sale man and Gavin to service desk are all very helpful and understanding I would fully recommend Mini Lloyds at Siverlink for new and used mini’s and really nice staff. I recently purchased a used mini from Stratstone Mini Doncaster. This was made an excellent and stressless experience by Jake Bishop, who was very friendly and professional and not pushy at all.He went above and beyond to be helpful. A big Thank you Jake, you're a credit to the company.
