I took my car to a BMW Approved Dealer expecting professional, competent service. What I received instead was shockingly poor workmanship and an equally dreadful complaint experience. The repair they carried out was unsafe — and not in some subtle, technical way. It was immediately obvious. The fact that this passed through their technicians and quality checks without being noticed is deeply concerning. For a brand that trades on precision engineering and premium standards, this was unacceptable. When I raised the issue, the complaint process was just as disappointing. There was no urgency, no accountability, and no sense that customer safety was being taken seriously. I was left chasing responses and feeling like an inconvenience rather than a customer who had been put at risk. There are very few alternative BMW service options in this area, which makes this even more frustrating. Sadly, this experience has made me seriously reconsider owning another BMW — not because of the cars themselves, but because of the substandard and careless service backing them. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before trusting this dealership with their vehicle.
Horrible experience just now. Came to look at an X5 and DERWIN who was in the entrance on arrival couldn’t have been less interested if he tried. No X5 in the showroom so asked if he had any we could look at outside, ‘NO’was the response. How about the one parked out front we asked. He got the keys reluctantly, knew next to nothing about the car and when I asked if I could test drive he said NO. I’m getting an X5 through work and he essentially told me to go through our agent to test drive, why? I’m standing in front of you and you’re doing absolutely nothing at this moment in time. Land Rover and Mercedes couldn’t be happier to help me and have test driven a number of their cars. My experience just now completely puts me off getting a BMW. £82,000 just walked away. Worst experience I have ever had. An experience that should be exciting. Get rid of the pinstriped, miserable salesman who made 2 women feel incredibly unwelcome. AVOID this dealership, go to Leeds or York.
I recently had my vehicle serviced at Mercedes and would like to commend the excellent service I received, particularly from Ross, my service advisor. His communication was excellent, and his professional yet approachable manner made the experience seamless and reassuring. What stood out most was Ross’s commitment to delivering a high standard of customer care. He handled everything efficiently and ensured the process was straightforward from start to finish. Ross is a real credit to the Mercedes team, and his dedication to providing exceptional customer service reflects very positively on the dealership. I would not hesitate to recommend Mercedes, particularly with service advisors such as Ross representing the brand.
