I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other buyers should be aware of my experience. I purchased a car from this dealership for £13,600, expecting it to be reliable. Within a very short period of ownership and after only around 800 miles of driving, I have experienced multiple serious issues. The car required an inlet manifold replacement shortly after purchase. It then developed a starter motor fault, which the dealership refused to take responsibility for, stating it was not covered by the warranty and was a newly developed issue. Despite raising my concerns under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, they maintained that I was responsible for the repair and only reduced the repair quote by £28. To make matters worse, the engine management light has now come on and the vehicle has gone into limp mode, leaving me with yet another fault to deal with. Throughout the process, I felt the dealership was far more focused on explaining why they were not responsible than helping to resolve the problems. After spending £13,600 on a car, I did not expect to experience this number of faults in such a short time. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership and would not purchase another vehicle from them.
My husband and I went to Ponko today to test drive a car the sales person Jack was very helpful. We were going to part exchange the car we currently own. When the value of our car was discussed the amount offered by Ponko was half the amount we had paid for the car just under a year ago. Jack asked his Manager Jason to have a look at the quote, Jason had a look, asked our thoughts and then in front of my husband and I Jason screwed the paperwork quote into a ball and through it in the bin saying " I can't match that". I did say to Jack how rude Jason was. Jason did later call my husband to say sorry after Jack told him how we felt. This behaviour is not acceptable and very disappointing.i will not visit Ponko or again and would not recommend them.
I had a fantastic experience from start to finish at Ponko. Especially thanks to Ross and Kye who were so clear, friendly and kept me informed at every stage. I'm now the proud owner of a stunning car that feels brilliant to drive. I highly, highly, highly recommend Ponko and the team there.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience. I purchased a used car from Ponko and, before completing the purchase, I pointed out several imperfections in the paintwork. I mentioned that I was considering taking the car elsewhere to have these addressed. I was then offered an additional paint protection package, which I understood would improve the paintwork as part of the preparation process. Based on that discussion, I agreed to purchase the service. When I collected the vehicle after the work had been completed, the original imperfections were still present and there were also marks in the paint that had not been there before. I immediately raised my concerns and provided photographs. After several emails, Ponko acknowledged that some of the marks appeared to be "hazing" caused during the application process and offered to correct them, but only if I travelled back to the dealership. For me, this would involve around 6 hours of travelling and waiting, plus fuel costs, to rectify issues resulting from a service I had already paid for. Throughout the complaint process, the dealership maintained that the paint protection package was never intended to remove scratches or paint defects. This left me questioning why the service was recommended to me after I had specifically raised concerns about those imperfections before purchasing the car. I requested a refund for the service, as I believe it was sold to me on the understanding that it would improve the paintwork I had queried. That request was refused, and the dealership has now closed my complaint. While the staff remained polite throughout the correspondence, I am very disappointed with how the complaint has been handled and with the outcome. I do not feel the service I paid for matched the expectations created during the sales process, and I will now be referring the matter to the appropriate independent consumer dispute resolution body for review. Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone considering additional paint protection packages to ensure they obtain a clear written explanation of exactly what is and is not included before agreeing to purchase.
The service and how I was dealt with from start to finish was amazing. I have never been to a car dealership before and they made the experience a very enjoyable one. Everything was explained to me in detail and the perfect car was found for me. I wasn't rushed and was able to take my time with no issues at all. Truly grateful for my experience today so thank you to everyone at Ponko!
