Recently sourced a new vehicle through CarWow (a reputable company) I received an offer to purchase the vehicle I'd specifically specified from Mon motors Bristol, the OTR price was xxx having expressed an interest via CarWow I was contacted by Mon motors Bristol who confirmed that the OTR cash price was xxx before travelling to Bristol to place the order and pay the deposit I contacted Mon motors Bristol to make certain that the OTR cash price remained unchanged at xxx. On arrival at Mon motors Bristol there followed a 40 minute discussion about add on products I agreed to purchase a pre paid service plan although declined the offer of other add on products, it was then revealed to me that there were additional costs to the OTR price I'd been quoted before travelling to Mon Motors Bristol, as the now OTR price had been inflated by over £500 I considered this selling tactic to be underhand and frankly disreputable, confidence and trust is no longer viable and subsequently I walked away from doing business with Mon motors Bristol. Footnote. I have now received an apology from the salesperson at Mon motors Bristol which I have accepted plus an offer to purchase at xxx price that was initially confirmed to me. However I believe business should always be conducted with complete transparency in order to foster confidence and trust and on this occasion neither remain in place. Reply to Mon motors.
