The whole experience of buying the vehicle was made easy and pleasurable. Stuart was extremely helpful and responded very quickly to queries. I was given a good briefing about the vehicle, before and after purchase and a fair price on the part-exchange. I know I can contact in the future should any queries or issues arise. I am completely satisfied with John Grose Group.
I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Alex to complete the purchase of my new Explorer. Alex was professional throughout and answered every question I had. He was great to deal with and he made the whole procedure smooth and effortless. Would highly recommend Alex if you're going down to John Grose.
Six months of delay ruined my small business — zero accountability from Citroën. Citroën held my less-than-a-year-old vehicle for six whole months for repairs. What followed wasn't just a minor inconvenience—it was a complete, cascading disaster that ruined my livelihood and cost me thousands. I bought a brand-new electric vehicle specifically because I needed absolute reliability. I was launching a self-employed dog-walking business—investing heavily in professional training courses, networking endlessly, and spending over a thousand pounds on custom-fitted dog cages tailored to this exact car. Instead of reliability, the car broke down right in the middle of a junction—a dangerous situation that resulted in police-imposed towing costs. To make matters worse, Citroën then kept the car for six months. Because the courtesy vehicle provided couldn't be used for pets, my business was dead in the water. In a small town, reputation and word-of-mouth are everything. I had to let down clients who were expecting a standard two-week turnaround, completely destroying my professional standing and blowing my investment in training and setup down the drain. Now, having been forced to switch careers to holiday-let cleaning to rebuild an income, they are refusing basic, reasonable flexibility with returning the courtesy car during my busiest month of the year—even though charging an EV in the middle of a packed workday is completely impractical. I explicitly asked to be communicated with via email so I have a proper paper trail, yet they continue to try to brush this off over the phone. Buying a brand-new car to avoid headaches resulted in six months of severe stress, financial loss, a ruined business dream, and zero accountability from Citroën. Absolutely appalled by this level of service.
Being a John Grose customer for many years, I can honestly say I have never been disappointed with the complete purchasing experience. This time Terry Harvey handled my new car and was really impressed with him. Terry is very professional and really approachable and look forward to changing my wife's car in the near future.
