If I could give minus i definitely would. Bought a motorhome 2yrs ago from here. Now I am selling it for a smaller one found out it is RIDDLED with dampness. Garage area is 94% ,kitchen is 44% and dining area is 46%. It was the company I am selling it to that checked. I am totally gutted someone could do this to another human being ,and sleep at night. I saved up for a long time to get motorhome. I TRULY hope your so called company goes under. Then you will have a SMALL idea how your customers feel about YOU.
I would like to leave a review about a van I bought a few weeks ago. Everything was great during the sale. They were relaxed and did not put me under any pressure to buy. There were a couple of issues with the van which they resolved very quickly . They gave me a full year’s MOT and 6 month warranty. One star deducted because they promised to provide a spare remote key at the time of purchase. I’ve been told on several occasions since, in person and in emails, that they are waiting for the key to come in and if it didn’t come in they would arrange to get a key cut by a company near where I live. I still don’t have the spare key and they have stopped answering my emails. This has spoiled an otherwise first class service experience.
Shambles, Originally bought in May 22 , so many issues and 2 years later., still got issues. 1st year, spent more time going back and forward getting repairs done. Here's a SHORT list. Van serviced for collection, got about 10 miles away, oil light came on ( they serviced it as a 2.2 Boxer ( 6 litres of oil ) as opposed to a 3 litre ( 9 litres.of oil required ) Wind out Canopy legs were jammed , despite being told they had been checked by the infamous Ian! ) Fixed that myself. Hot water/heating not working , had to go back several times to get it sorted....still have issues today and that was 2 yrs ago! Ian even had the nerve to switch the control unit from electric to diesel as it was obvious the electric side was not heating the water up and thought we wouldn't notice, why would we not? He was only 2 feet in front of us! Van had to stay where it was....again, to be repaired. Another 80 mile wasted journey! (Still not properly fixed and never has been) Hab certificate given despite loose electrical wires everywhere. Turns out the van had been riddled with mice and chewed almost every conceivable wire they could get their teeth on. Satellite system not working , admittedly they actually did install a new one for us. We supplied a new TV to go with it as there was none in the van, they couldn't fit it as it didn't have " satellite " function. When we mentioned that it did and showed them the manual , we were then told that the " engineer" only fits Cello and didn't even look at the one we supplied but they still charged us for the Cello TV! Leaky sink ( They fixed that ) Toilet pump not working ( they fixed that ) External light not working ( fixed that myself) Tupperware box used as "waterproof wire housing for rear lights" 2 years later, we have had to get the van heater rewired by Webasto as , Quote " Who the F@@@ has been at this , the wiring is a shambles and has been joined all over the place and doesn't match the Webasto wiring loom. Ultimately to save time and costs, it was decided to rip out the shoddy wiring and replace it with the genuine Webasto wiring harness. Still a fault with the heating/water but at last we are slowly getting there. Wish we didn't listen to all their promises and downright lies and just got our money back. Avoid at all costs unless you want to spend all your time travelling up and down the M90 for repairs.
After reading some really poor reviews about FMC I was a wee bit cautious but I can honestly say the buying and viewing process was very good with Iain, nothing was any bother and there was no pressure to buy, we saw a Motorhome we really liked the look off and after long discussions we decided to go up from Edinburgh and knew there and then it was the van for us. Thanks again to Iain.
Bought a motorhome from these people in May 2022 and so far have spent over \xa32000 putting things right like new radiator, new clutch, new brakes all round, new tyres etc and today found out the motorhome has major damp issues on 3 walls with an estimated cost of \xa36000 to repair. I have contacted fife van centre on previous occasions for help but they don’t even bother responding STAY AWAY FROM THESE COWBOYS
