Booked in for a service and mot ar Evans Halshaw Gateshead, the service was to provide your car being picked up and returned to your home, as I would not have taken out the service plan and gone somewhere nearer but this service sold the plan to me.I was told that the driver had been made redundant the year before, though was not advised that the service would no longer be available.Anyway booked it in for 1pm and had to wait around for it to be done, which took 4 hours of waiting, even though people came and went after their cars had been serviced, we were still sitting.My husband is 77 and I'm in my 70's plus a diabetic and had to sit for 4 hours, macdonalds was over the road so had to spend nearly £16 for something to eat.I think it was disgraceful to have us there for 4 hours.When it was finally ready all cars are supposed to be washed and valeted as part of the service, ours had not been touched.Also oil is supposed to be changed at 3 yrs old or 24000 miles, we were not asked about this and only found out when reading advisories.So this is still to be done. They are all singing and dancing when selling you a car, but service wise they are a disgrace, I feel this poor attempt of servicing was because we got our own finance much cheaper than their interest, did not buy any of the extra add ons and only purchased the service plan because of the picking up and return of car to your home, which did not happen.The 4 tyres are nearing renewal yet we only had the car 10 months and only drive 3000 miles in a year?? I would not reccommend this place for anything they are a disgrace to the motor trade imo.
