Exceptional service from Finn and colleague (18/6/2026), they went out of their way to satisfy my requirements, and gave me an excellent deal on my part ex car. I've dealt with many many salespeople in my time but I have to say that this was one of my best experiences. They are a credit to the company and `I highly recommend them.
Evans Halshaw, Gateshead. I dealt with two people - Michael Porter and Martin Mason - both of whom were excellent in every aspect regarding my car purchase. I would have given a 5 star review, but a promise to have the vehicle's few knocks on the bodywork straightened out wasn't kept, but otherwise the whole process was straightforward from start to finish with a few options given for financing the deal.
Reece couldn’t have made my experience better, what a pleasant young man! He was courteous, friendly and put me at my ease. You know what it’s like as a woman going to a car show room, well I felt now of that intimidation with Reece, he put me at me ease immediately. Thank you Reece, you are a credit to Kia Hull 😊
I purchased a used vehicle and it was agreed that prior to collection an MOT would be done. When I went to collect the vehicle it hadn’t been done. At collection I also noticed some scratches on the vehicle that the salesman said they would sort for me. He told me he would speak to the paint shop and MOT departments and call me the next day to book the car in. It took me almost 2 weeks of numerous calls to the dealership to final speak to someone to book the car in. The person I spoke to was a manager and he said they hadn’t agreed to do the MOT or they only agreed if the vehicle was being bought on finance. This was not the case as finance was never discussed as I was always paying for the vehicle in full and I had only agreed to buy the car if it had a full MOT. I had even stood outside the showroom looking at the car with the salesman on the day of collection and discussed both the scratches and MOT being done on the same day so I didn’t have to take the vehicle back twice. Eventually, after the manager insinuating I was lying about the MOT, he agreed to do it. I took my car back to the dealership for the MOT and scratch repairs. I called later in the day to see if the work had been done and if I could collect the car to be told all work was completed and I could collect it. When I got to the dealership I noticed that only 1 of the scratches had been repaired so I then had to wait while they did the other one. Once I got into the vehicle and drove away, I noticed some marks on the glass for the wing mirror. I thought they were just dirt but when I got home and tried to clean them off they were several scratches which were not there when I dropped the vehicle off. I immediately called the dealership to report this and it took me many attempts before someone answered the phone to be told it was up to a manager how to proceed and they would call me back. I am still waiting for that call so the issues are still not fully resolved. I also raised a complaint with Evans Halshaw about the way I was treated over the MOT and lack of response to calls and was told someone would be in touch within 48 hours. I am still waiting 2 weeks later!!
