I bought a 2019 Vauxhall Combi van from Countryside Commerials Selby in April 2024. The van developed issues within the first week, starting with an engine management light coming on. I contacted the dealer immediately and he took the van back twice. Each time I asked for paperwork for the work carried out, but none was provided. After the second visit, around eight weeks later, I was told the repairs had 'cost a fortune' and that it was all sorted, but I still received no paperwork and was never told what had actually been done. Around 14 months later the same issues returned and the engine eventually failed. The repair cost to date are \xa31304.00, and the van is now too expensive to fully repair. When I contacted the dealer again, I was told it was no longer his responsibility and to speak to the finance company he uses regularly (Mallard Finance). The finance company then directed me back to the dealer. Both parties effectively refused to take ownership of the situation. The matter is now with the financial Ombudsman and ongoing (2026). In my experience, the van had problems from the start and as I never received paperwork I was promised.!!!
Absolutely no drama buying a van from these lads,was chucked the keys and told to help myself,no high pressure sales crap,bought the van I went to see and so far no issues but with a 3 month warranty I have no doubt that if there was an issue it would be swiftly resolved, definitely recommend \U0001f44d \u2026
Just got our Nissan Navara from here. The gentlemen really looked after me with this one. I'm a woman and I don't trust a lot of dealers ( I do actually know a lot about cars) but these really kept me up to date and even waited late for us to come and pick up the after picking our children up from school. I was told it drives beautifully and he wasn't kidding. Its beautiful and I enjoyed every minute of the drive on the way back and trust me I had about two hours in it after sitting on M18 due to accidents. Thank you so much for your help.
