Shocking dealership , went in to fix my alternator , advised I get roadside assistance away from the dealership , the lady at service was that sad she finished work but still managed to ring up mercedes and bar my vehicle from being seen by mercedes assistance only found this out 5 hours later and when I kept quizzing why RAC were coming out to recover and not mercedes to fix , went back to mercedes over the phone to state that they had put a block on my vehicle , made it back to the dealership where I broke down completely across the shutter doors at midnight , got a night shift mechanics attention and broke down emotionally I was stranded and all thanks to the service lady at mercedes , very very spiteful human being for doing such. Anyway Mr foster the mechanic was an absolute gentleman he gave me a hug and rang the depot manager who was at home and explained what had gone on and they agreed to waive the labour and sell me a reconditioned unit which I payed with immediately on my card , funny that barring me for financial reasons and low and behold I had the money to pay it ,after all this I make a complaint to mercedes and it seems that rather than apologise they seem to have lied in saying service wasn't refused ? I just fancied a 7 hour detour for my jollies in Carlisle rather than go about my journey. The fact they havent apologised has left a bitter taste and I would never use this dealership again in the future.
At the beginning of our vacation three weeks ago, we had to take our Sprinter to a garage due to a loud squeaking noise. We explained our problem and our suspicions, and they helped us immediately! :-) Great service. We were very happy to be able to start our trip! Thanks again, we've now returned home safely!
