I am updating this review to be much more specific about why I am leaving a 1-star rating. Yes, as I mentioned previously, you helped with some of the easy-to-fix issues, like replacing the doorstrap that Rossetts paid for. However, even that was poorly handled. When I came to collect my van, I was essentially held hostage for 30 minutes over payment for a job that had already been settled. Furthermore, I asked you to adjust the tailgate because it was causing damage to the vehicle. I was told, "That's all done now," only to find out it hadn't been adjusted at all and is still causing damage. The Steering Fault (The Main Issue): The primary reason for this 1-star review is your handling of a steering fault that causes a squeak when rotating the wheel. Visit 1 & 2: Your technician, George, came out with me and heard the fault himself after having it in the workshop and not being able to hear it. He walked into the office, told Brittany to get me booked in, and confirmed he could hear it. Visit 3: Andy said he was struggling to hear it, so I spent an hour driving the van to replicate the issue. I returned the next day at 11 am, and Andy heard it clearly. He promised the team would call to book me in. After 3 days of silence, I had to ring you to chase it up. Visit 4 & 5: I was told a part needed replacing but had to wait for Mercedes-Benz warranty approval. Once approved, I dropped the van off, only to be told that afternoon that you "hadn't got round to it" and needed it overnight. This cost me a day's wages from not working. The Result: When I finally picked it up, the steering wheel squeaked immediately. I hurried back and waited for George. He suddenly acted as though he'd never met me or my van. During a rushed test drive because he "wanted to go home," he played completely deaf to the noise. His excuse? \u201cI know it's a Mercedes, but it's a van, faults happen.\u201dAnd "I need to hear it making the noise much louder than that before I comment on it" You are insinuating that I should just accept a squeaky steering wheel on a \xa325,000, 72-plate vehicle with 32k on the clock simply because the fault is hard to find and you aren't willing to put the diagnostic hours in. I expected the usual 5-star service that I've received at other dealers, but the service here has been honestly poor.
Bought a vechicle from Richard at Bolton Branch. Paid a deposit while out of the country after he had sent me a walk around video and answered any questions I asked. On arriving to Bolton, had a drive in the vechicle, everything seemed as it should. Had a long chat over coffee about things. Paid for the vechicle and it was delivered to my door in a timely manner. They answered all my questions and the their pricing was fair and transparent. The mechanics are highly skilled and the work quality is first class.
