Great service from Simon from start to finish. He had a van we wanted but we live in the north of England. Simon was very helpful and sent us video of it. Van was great. He was very friendly and helpful when we went to pick it and the sale went very smoothly. He even checked we got home ok. Not the typical car salesman and we would very highly recommend him and his company.
I had the best service from Simon and the team at Catcarz when buying my Mini. I was very nervous about the process, but they immediately made me feel at ease. The service was quick and efficient throughout. Even when a small problem occurred a week later, they fixed it without any fuss at all. Truly a stress-free experience—I highly recommend them!"
I have now purchased two cars from Catcarz and couldn’t be happier. Having owned both cars now for over a year, all I can say is they have been fantastic purchases, reliable and affordable. The service and after care from Catcarz is exemplary, I can’t thank Simon enough for his advice and support. I will most definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of buying a second hand car, you are in safe hands.
Recently purchased a Citroen Berlingo van from CatCarz. Simon and Peter were both incredibly helpful and professional and friendly. I was able to test drive the van on my own so no pressure and able to get a proper feel for the van. Everything was smooth and they made me, my other half and my daughter feel welcome, they even went and got our daughter a drink from the garage while we was sorting out the paperwork. Thanks CatCarz will be sure to use you again in the future if we need to.
Initially I was very impressed. Me and my partner got a good deal and everything was explained well to us as it was our first time buying a car. I was going to then recommend this garage to many friends and family members and probably would have come back. My dad came with me as it wasn't something I had done before so was very much involved in the buying of this car and he was in contact via WhatsApp with Simon to which my partner and i were aware of. He picked up the car for me and noticed some of the paint had chipped and pointed this out to Simon as it wasn't there when we initially looked at it. Simon apologised about the paint and said he'd send someone to us to paint the car. We told him our availability via whatsapp and heard nothing for about a month and a half. He then responded asking when we'd bring the car to him even though he had said he'd send someone to us. My partners dad went to the garage to look at cars for his partner. He mentioned us and Simon gave him the paint unbeknownst to me and my partner. We then said to Simon we wanted to have it done properly and would bring him the paint back. We also expressed that we were confused on why he gave the paint to my partners dad when he wasn't involved in this and didn't have our permission to take it. He didnt respond to my dad and my dad then messaged a few days later. It has been a week and we have still heard nothing. Id assume he is ignoring us on purpose at this point. So this is a good place to get a car until there's an issue as once they have their money they don't seem to care about their customers. I have told everyone I had previously recommended this garage to not to bother!
AVOID. This company is not accredited with any Alternative Dispute Resolution institutions such as The Motor Ombudsman. After an internal bearing inside the automatic gearbox of my Suzuki S-Cross (2014, 50,700 Miles) failed within the first 6 months of purchase, they are refusing to honor my rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act (2015) which states that any faults that arise within the first 6 months the dealer has 1 opportunity to repair or replace the vehicle failing that, I have a right to refusal and a refund minus fair usage. They are trying to claim a core component such as an automatic gearbox is a wear and tear part of a car, of course its very common knowledge you need to change break pads... tyres... automatic gearbox... Simon will try to claim he is helping you by palming you off to the conveniently 6 month long third party warranty offered to relieve himself of his legal obligation to adhere to the Consumer Rights Act. He will prey on your lack of knowledge on this issue to avoid any costs he may incur having to rectify his mistakes. Edit: His lack of response to the issue of not being accredited with any Alternate Dispute Resolutions is telling. What could he possibly have to fear? Although being with an Alternate Dispute Resolution institution such as The Motor Ombudsman is not legally required, why wouldn't he? If you are someone looking to buy a used car from a dealership, I would ask this question before purchasing! As the Answer could give you a good insight into the type of business being operated. Edit 2: My atonement for not checking for an ADR during purchase is to warn others beforehand! Because as you've just told us, over 150 people have not asked either displaying the unfortunate lack of knowledge about purchasing cars from garages! I did infact mention it was not a legal requirement but please, enlighten us to your specific practical and commercial reasons not to? We would love to know! If it really matters how you treat your customers, why did you sell an illegal vehicle to a mum with a small child and a dog walking business (which was 2 months after purchase) and do nothing about it. How about you respond to Nicki's review instead of offering her pittance to take it down.
