All the staff were very helpful and polite. Arrangements for a test drive were simple and the car was brought to a convenient location. The car was immaculately prepared and the necessary checks (MOT) were carried out as promised. We were able to complete the purchase on the day with the excellent support of Adam Anderson the salesman. However, I came away without the promised car mats and will call for those later this week, having paid for them.
I arranged for a car to be brought up to my local dealership and gave the a clear two days before test drive. I arrived on time for my appointment however the car was not even washed so I was made to wait over an hour, when it came round it still was not clean. On the test drive the tyre pressure warning light came on, I advised this on return and was assured it would be checked and sorted. The car was exactly the model etc I wanted and was cheaper than anywhere else, however three tyres were worn ( I knew this was the case as I had checked the MOT result from January in which they were advisory’s), I asked that the tyres be changed but it was a no, I asked that some money to be knocked off the car for the price of the tyres but again no, the messages coming back from the “manager” seemed to indicate he wasn’t happy that I had found the car priced so low so he wouldn’t budge. In the end I decided I wanted the car and would foot the bill for the tyres myself. On the drive home I noticed what looked like a dirt mark on the windscreen however on inspection when I got it home I found it was a chip so I called customer service, this took nearly an hour however the lady was pleasant she apologised and advised that she would contact the dealership so they could arranged an appointment to go in and get it fixed. I have today received an email that basically states I should have seen it on the initial inspection and they would do nothing about it. The tyre warning light came on again the next day which would indicate they had just pumped it up rather than checking for a slow puncture. The worst service I have received when purchasing a car, steer clear! If something appears to good to be true then it generally is. The money I saved on a cracking price for the car is now going on three tyres and a windscreen. I won’t be using again and encourage you to go somewhere else.
Very disappointing experience. I travelled from London to collect a car, only to find it had an apparent accident . The front grille had been damaged and poorly repaired. Northampton dealership refused to fix it before purchase. A complete waste of time and money. I’d advise others to be very cautious, to buy from them.
