The General Manager of Arnold Clark stoke on trent Mark Crosthwaite has made it impossible for my car to be repaired because I refused to delete my review about Arnold Clark selling me a faulty car with gearbox issue. After emailing for about 6 weeks now he says I'm the one who refused to authorise repair with Nissan while all this time he has been emailing saying he is working on it. He had offered to give me a courtesy car then asked me to delete my review when I said no suddenly the courtesy car was not available he is even delaying my repair because of my review. I'm very disappointed.
After buying the car new from AC Alfa Perth - which was an excellent experience, I asked AC Alfa Linwood to look at a couple of faults in March that had been present on the car since new (distance to the garage from home stopped me doing it sooner). They misdiagnosed the car fault - to me it was plainly wrong and challenged it at the time, however they doubled down on the verdict and charged me a £180 non warranty charge. I played along and went along with their diagnosis and provided data (related to battery charge levels) and proved the diagnosis wrong. They had no diagnostic strategy to fix the fault but offered me another £180 charge to bring the car in for them to look at again - no thanks! I followed the complaints procedure and asked for the aftersales manager - i got forwarded the contact details of the service manager who initially suggested a positive investigation route - however i have not heard from him since - despite multiple emails and calls! Now in the third month since the original complaint and my verdict is COMPLETELY HOPELESS! Next stop for complaint is Alfa Romeo - i have a cracking car - however if AC is my only option for support in Scotland it will be getting punted. If anyone in AC has any interest in the company reputation and correcting this situation - i have emails that i can forward .....
