Dealing with Manchester Corvette branch, potentially spending north of £300,000 for 2 E-Rays. Get told that extended test drives on the E-Rays are unavailable - only on Stingrays, which we accepted. We booked in a 30m test drive on the E-Ray, and a 48 hour test drive on the Stingray to familiarise ourselves with the vehicle. Get confirmation that the appointment is booked and the vehicle will be able to be taken out for 48 hours - and book train travel (Lincoln to Manchester). I then receive an email earlier today stating that "I have since been trying to arrange the stingray for an extended test drive for you. This has been kicked back from head office and unfortunately isn't something we will be able to offer on any of the Corvette's. I hope you will be able to appreciate they are £100,000 worth of stock, all brand new with none to limited miles on them and therefore are only subject to test driving locally with trade plates and ourselves. This would go for both the E-ray and Stingray models." This is absolutely not acceptable. We're spending over £300,000 on 2 vehicles, so a 30 minute test drive on any vehicle is not sufficient in any way, shape or form. For context, this is an excerpt from the emails I received prior: "As discussed we look forward to seeing you on Friday 24th at 4pm to see the E-Ray and to book an extended test drive on the Stingray. " "Sorry for the late response. I'm currently out of office. Unfortunately we are currently unable to do extended test drive on the E-Ray's only the Stingray due to insurance reasons." So now we are actually DOWN money for the travel that we've booked based on the FALSE statements provided by the sales rep (who, might I mention, is impossible to reach - I was told that I would get a call back once they were off the phone; only to have to call in 2 hours later to be told that they would call me soon. This was repeated multiple times today, and still no phone call). I would highly advise any potential fleet purchasers to steer clear of this dealership.
