They sold me a car with the air conditioning broken. In the initial viewing we\u2019d noticed it wasn\u2019t running cool so raised it. We travelled to view the car as it ticked all boxes and was in budget. After raising this issue they asked us to come back to buy the car in a week so they could service it and address the AC issue. Upon the second visit to collect the car (it\u2019s 3 hours away for us) we ran the car again and the AC didn\u2019t seem to run cool still. We were assured it was recently serviced with the AC being recently regassed by them and that it was just a matter of needing the car to get going in order for the AC to kick in. As an added assurance they upsold us the top end \u2018evolution warranty\u2019 and we were told if there were any issues with warranty to even get in touch with them personally because they had full faith that there were no issues with the car. After a drive on a hot day it was very clear the AC was fully not functional at all. I\u2019d contacted the warranty- who needed a quote a receipt of work intended to be done. After taking it to an AC diagnostic AND a garage (which cost me around \xa350) he quoted me around \xa3600 as the car needs a full AC condenser replacing- he even added it was not legal to regas as it had evidence of a long- term leak. This claim was then rejected by the warranty, so I contacted AG Cars who could not have been less helpful if they tried. Contrary to my experience at the point of sale, they were passing me between different members of the team, acting as though they didn\u2019t remember who I was, even being shouted at on the phone! Eventually after weeks of them avoiding addressing my issue, they then offered to again fix the AC at a cost to me! I did not take them up on this for two reasons, firstly because I no longer trust that they have the ability to fix it after the first visit and secondly because we are a 3 hour drive away. Would not recommend. They were so nice and friendly at the point of sale but once sold they did not have any interest in any further support or taking accountability for their shortcomings.
