Petrol

Base models include a 2.0-litre turbocharged flat-4 that outputs 300 horsepower.
An optional 2.5-litre turbocharged flat-4 provides 350 horsepower with a 0-62 mph time of 4.2 seconds.
The top models boast a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-6 that generates 400 horsepower, allowing for a 0-62 mph time as low as 4.0 seconds.
Fuel economy ratings vary, but the lowest is 25.9 mpg with the standard six-speed base engine.

When it comes to high-powered convertibles, there's always going to be a compromise in terms of practicality. Yet the Porsche 718 Boxster can function as a comfortable two-seat daily driver because of its efficiency, ride quality and twin luggage compartments.

Boot space

Two boots containing room for up to 272 litres: 150 litres in the front and 122 litres in the rear.
Boot space is reduced compared to the 718 Cayman because of the convertible top.

Bodystyles

718 Boxster is a two-door convertible and is identical mechanically to the 718 Cayman, which is a two-door coupé.
