Used Ford Kuga Titanium cars

The Ford Kuga Titanium is a great-value version of the Ford Kuga, which is Ford’s mid-size SUV. Depending on the age of the Kuga you’re looking at, the Titanium was either the entry-level trim or the second-least-expensive trim, but it comes with an impressive amount of features included as standard.

The Kuga is Ford’s mid-size SUV – a rival for cars such as the Nissan Qashqai and the Volkswagen Tiguan. The first-generation Kuga was introduced in 2008 and the second-generation version went on sale in 2012. The latest (third-generation) Kuga was introduced in 2020. More popular than ever, the Kuga was the ninth-best-selling car in the UK in 2022. 

As of late 2023, the Titanium is the most affordable version of the Kuga if you buy a new one, sitting at the entry point to the range. Above it are the ST-Line, the ST-Line X, the Black Package and the Vignale. Previously, a lower-spec Zetec model was also available, but has now been discontinued.

The Ford Kuga Titanium doesn’t come with as many features as some other Kuga models but you get all of the basics and more. The latest post-2020 version comes with 18-inch alloys, full-LED headlights and an electric boot lid, as well as a B&O sound system and a rear-view camera. As you go further up the Kuga range, you get even more features. The ST-Line’s main appeal is sportier-looking exterior styling, as well as more-supportive front seats, while the ST-Line X has bigger wheels, heated seats front and back, and a heated steering wheel.

The Black Package model has larger wheels and, as the name suggests, black styling elements as well as a panoramic glass roof and stiffer sport suspension, while the top-of-the-range Vignale has leather seats and an exterior that looks more classy than sporty. If you spot a Zetec model, this is a lower-spec trim than the Titanium, and will have smaller wheels, more basic halogen headlights and a less sophisticated air con system.

The amount of power, or bhp, that a Ford Kuga Titanium has depends on its engine. Several petrol and diesel models are available. The only petrol offering has 148bhp, while the diesels have either 118bhp, 148bhp or 187bhp. Ford also makes plug-in hybrid and full-hybrid versions of the Kuga, but they’re not available in Titanium trim.

Titanium is a very popular trim level for Ford cars. At one point it represented a relatively high-spec car, although today it generally sits further down the list of trims. On the used market you’ll find Titanium versions of the Kuga, EcoSport, Puma, Fiesta, Mondeo, Focus, S-Max and Galaxy.
