Thinking of getting a Ford Kuga ST-Line X?

What is the Ford Kuga ST-Line X?

The Ford Kuga ST-Line X is a trim level of the mid-size Ford Kuga SUV. The ST-Line X isn’t quite the top-of-the-range trim but it’s close, with extra-sporty styling over other versions and lots of features included as standard.

What is the Ford Kuga?

The Ford Kuga is a mid-size SUV that’s a rival for cars such as the Nissan Qashqai and the Volkswagen Tiguan. The Kuga was introduced in 2008 and an all-new  model went on sale in 2012. The latest (third-generation) Kuga was introduced in 2020 – it’s the largest and most high-tech version yet and was the ninth best-selling car in the UK in 2022.

Where does the Ford Kuga ST-Line X sit in the range?

The Ford Kuga ST-Line X sits near the top-middle of the range, just below the Black Package and the top-spec Vignale. It’s a version of the ‘standard’ ST-Line trim, itself a sporty looking version of the Kuga, with more aggressive-looking styling than other trims. The X in the name signifies that it  has more equipment than you get in the ST-Line. Below the ST-Line models are the Zetec and Titanium trims.

How is the Ford Kuga ST-Line X different from the rest of the Kuga range?

The ST-Line X is very similar to the sporty looking ST-Line trim, which differentiates itself from other models through its body styling and extra-supportive sports seats. The ST-Line X adds bigger wheels, heated seats both front and back, and a heated steering wheel.

How much bhp does a Ford Kuga ST-Line X have?

The amount of power or bhp that a Ford Kuga Titanium has depends on its engine because several petrol and diesel models are available. The sole petrol offering has 148bhp, while the diesels have either 118bhp, 148bhp or 187bhp. There’s also a petrol-electric full-hybrid model with 187bhp and a plug-in hybrid model that delivers 22bhp and can manage up to 39 miles on electric power alone, according to official figures.

What other Ford cars have an ST-Line X model?

As a version of the popular ST-Line trim, there are plenty of Fords that have an ST-Line X model. These include the Puma and Ecosport SUVs, the Focus and Fiesta hatchbacks and the Mondeo.
