The whole buying experience has been let down by not getting a instruction book to explain the functions on the car and also that I am still waiting for the rear black badges - more than 2 weeks after I got the car. I have to constantly chase when the badges will arrive instead of Waylands contacting me. The badges are the main reason for the slightly negative review.
I would not recommend Waylands Newbury because my car broke down 48hrs after purchasing. Despite I was provided a replacement car, I still do not know what is wrong with my car and when I will get it back. The communication with them is very poor and given the circumstances I would have expected somewhat more reassurance instead only a few phone calls and emails we exchanged. I have been left very frustrated and very disappointed by Volvo
Waylands Newbury provided an exceptional service with the recent purchase of my XC90, from the initial contact with their salesperson (Keira) to collecting the car from them. They were friendly, professional, not pushy and understood what we needed for the purchase. Really nice people and we love the car, very smooth and comfortable
I was pleased with Waylands Newbury and would recommend them because overall my purchase went well. I was a bit annoyed to find the security wheel nut and tweezers left on the passenger seat and the emergency tow hook left loose on the boot along with a few number plate screws and covers. I am presuming the wheels had been removed during the valet of the car prior to delivery. It wouldn't have been hard to pack away everything as they found them. Also three of the tyres were well below the recommended pressures. Surely this is a basic check prior to delivery. I did email the dealer about these issues but didn't even get a reply. Overall the cleanliness of the car was to a good standard.
