We have friends who have purchased cars from Kudos in the past, with positive feedback. As we were looking for a good used small car, I had been checking stock and prices for a little while. We visited Kudos to check on a couple of cars - plenty of cars to consider, all absolutely in line with the online pictures and listing detail. No pressure from Kim or Lee, who were helpful throughout, and we also got to meet some of the other family members who were on site. We had no hesitation in buying a lovely Fiat 500 and, having owned it now for a few weeks, are really pleased with it. Being provided with a 6 month 'Platinum' warranty serves to provide an extra level of comfort. Overall this was a really positive experience for us, where we would have no hesitation in recommending Kudos - well done Lee and Kim.
Edited Review: I bought an Audi A1 from Kudos Car Sales recently and initially had a really positive experience. Lee was friendly, approachable and communication was excellent from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly, the process was straightforward, and you can tell it’s a genuine family-run business. Around 2\xbd weeks after buying the car, the battery unexpectedly died. I contacted Lee, who was happy to help and replaced the battery. Unfortunately, a few days later the car developed another issue where the alarm started going off every time it was locked, making the car extremely difficult to use. I couldn’t even leave it parked while I went into a shop without the alarm sounding. I was advised to contact Warrantywise, but I found the process very frustrating. I struggled to find local garages willing to deal with Warrantywise claims, and because the problem was so disruptive, I had to pay for an independent diagnostic myself. The diagnostic found that the replacement battery hadn’t been coded to the vehicle, which resulted in multiple battery-related fault codes. Once the battery was correctly coded and those faults were cleared, one fault remained for the alarm siren module. The siren was removed and found to be internally corroded, confirming it was faulty. Overall, while I appreciated Lee’s communication and willingness to help, it’s been disappointing to experience multiple issues within the first month of owning the car and to have to cover the cost of diagnosing a fault so soon after purchase. I hope this feedback helps future customers understand my experience.
Trusted their “expert” knowledge of minis, turned out it had chain issues which was a massive struggle to get sorted and ended up out of pocket because of it. End up getting rid of the car a few months after purchasing because it was such a poor state of a vehicle.
