I took my Corsa e in for a service today and handed key in to Rhys at the service desk. What an absolute pleasure it was to meet him. He was so courteous and helpful. He promised to ring me when the car was ready and gave me an estimate time. When I went to collect the car he went over the service report and explained everything very simply to me. I thanked him for his help and left to get my car. Regrettably I couldn't find the car in the busy car park so had to return to the desk. Rhys leapt into action,took my key ,went off and found my car. He was dismayed that the service team had not vacuumed the footwells so he went off and sorted that for me. I felt very well looked after and will hopefully continue to use Evans Halshaw in the future. Thank you Rhys for "going the distance" .
Very difficult to get through to the services team, there appears to be about 3 different numbers online and the numbers on their emails/service site do not seem to get answered. Had my car seen recently, asked for my tyre to be looked at as well as the issue. They called me to say car was ready, then had a message to say the inspection showed my tyre needed immediate attention, tried to call back multiple times, no answer, responded on the tracking site, no answer, then had a phone call from them about the tyre maybe an hour after my car was ‘ready’. They said tyre could be done that day so I agreed. An hour later a message comes through on the tracking site to say they can’t get a tyre until the following day, spend two hours calling but no answer. Eventually had a phone call back to be told the tyre is done and it’s ready to collect. Got to the garage, paid, left, 5 minutes in to my journey get a phone call to say the payment declined, drove back (not local), waited 15 minutes to be seen, showed them the money was pending on my card, they assured me it was cancelled and won’t come out. Now a week and a half later I’m waiting for my refund because two payments came out. Receive vague answers on email. Wouldn’t recommend this garage, won’t be using again.
I would like to rate their customer service…. But they would need to even answer a call first. I have never found it impossible to book a service. It’s enough to make me want to navigate away from my Hyundai so I can use a different supplier (linked via built in service to plan so can’t change) 40+ calls, over 10 separate attempts. Nothing to show for it. Woeful.
I have been visiting firstly the Ford, then Evans Halshaw Old Trafford branch for over 20 years. I've always found it to be a very welcoming place with very friendly and efficient staff who always make you feel welcome and valued as a customer...The reception area is clean and tidy as are the toilets, plus there is plenty of tea, coffee or water available....regarding the vehicle servicing side, I'm pleased to say that I've always felt confident that my vehicle is being well maintained and look after.
Had a Ford Kuga June 2025, had it serviced by them April 2026 and fixed some problems costing nearly £2000 and now the car continues to stop running. I called Monday to ask exactly what they’ve done to the car and tell them we don’t want it sorted or we will bring it back. Jordan the mechanic was absolutely brilliant. Made an appointment for today (Friday). Partner took my 15 month old daughter today to the dealership to see the manager and hand the car back over and waited 2 and a half hours in the waiting area with the baby being told the manager will see him shortly whenever he queried where he was. He left after 2.5 hours in a taxi still having seen no one. Absolutely shocking !!
