Car and Caravan Company

I purchased a 2021 ford transit connect from the car & caravan company in Brigg in December of 2025 for nearly \xa39000 in total that’s including an additional cost for an extended warranty of 6 months. Lovely van , bodywork, interior, and to drive as well, after a couple of months or so I had an issue with defective clutch cylinder and warranty company paid up around \xa31100 or thereabouts, around may time this year had air con issues and again repaired and warranty company paid bill of \xa3450. Around the end of June I was travelling on a dual carriageway in Norfolk and a low oil pressure warning light came on and had to pull over where possible due to roadworks on the carriageway then breakdown towed me to a nearby services to await the aa man said not drivable and subsequently towed us back to Lincolnshire. I have since had an investigation from a garage locally and now need a replacement engine that my mechanic has now ordered direct from ford, total cost including labour over \xa35000 so you can imagine how I feel about my purchase! I understand things go wrong but I have looked after the van since purchase and unfortunate the warranty has expired, I did ring and email car and caravan company mentioning my disappointment regarding the issues I’ve had with the van but no response! There’s nothing I can do other than cut my losses but would certainly not buy another vehicle from them again. Just had my van returned after having a new engine direct from ford fitted and with all the recommended parts etc including fitting \xa36200 including vat! Not a word from car and caravan company Brigg, not even a sorry you’ve had serious problems with your van! They soon reply to favourable reviews but genuine complaints that’s seems different. Still well miffed from my experience! Very disgruntled customer
Bought a commercial 9 seater After 2 weeks of driving the battery died on the motorway:- Had 9 seater recovered:- Asked this company to see if they would go half’s on the bill even tho still under warranty, They wouldn’t:- I then take it in for a service a couple days later for peace of mind and the wet belt hadn’t been changed, I got told this was done but not 100 percent at 92,000 surely you don’t sell a Ford without a wet belt replacement I’ve tried to chase this up with company but totally getting ignored Once purchased van they will ignore customers, I’ll never use this firm again
