I took my 2023 Honda CRV into B&S Marsons to have the nearside front door resprayed and a service. They quoted me \xa3550 to have the door resprayed (not cheap). When I went to collect the car, I was absolutely disgusted with the quality of the resprayed door B&S Marsons had completed. There were scratches in the new paint and also dull patches where they hadn't polished the door correctly. In between the front and rear door there was a thick white dust running from top to bottom of the door gap, the front passager seat and door card had white patches of what looked like filler aII over them. I couldn’t believe that Marsons had expected me to accept this workmanship, that was obviously a rush job that went unchecked before they handed the car back to me. Needles to say, I have not accepted the work and the car going back to them next Thursday. I really didnt expect such unprofessional service from a established long standing business. 28.4.2023 Update and reply to B&S marsons comments. I called you today to make arrangements to have the picked by one of your staff. During the conversation you commented that you thought the work you carried out on my vehicle was time sensitive. In other words, you did a rush job. When I booked the vehicle in with you for a service and the front passager door resprayed I made no indication that the job was time senstive, this is something you have made up to try and excuse the terrible service you have given me regarding the passager door you resprayed.. You stated in your reply to my review, the paintwork did have a final inspection before it was handed over to me. I'm a lorry driver, and I notice the bad workmanship on the resprayed door within two second of approaching the vehicle!!!! So what does that say about the person who say did a final inspection on my vehicle, if a final inspection was ever done. Over a period of approximately 10 years we have purchases 4 cars from B&S Marson, but I am disgusted with the level of service your service department gave me. I would not recommend your services to anyone, if fact I will be sharing terrible experience your service department gave me with other people.
It was a sad day to see my well loved fiat 500 become no longer viable to maintain. After not 1 but 2 recommendations to visit here to get another 500, I can confirm I will be a third voice to add to their recommendations! The place has a lovely family feel about it. I was given open and honest answers to all the questions I had. I was not made to feel like an idiot for asking things to be explained that I didn't understand. The paperwork was made simple and didn't tie me up with jargon (thank you, Nathan). I have now had my beautiful little 500 for a few days and it still has that new car smell and drives like a dream! Thank you, John and team for making it all a positive experience :-)
I've purchased a few quality used vehicles from BS Marson & Sons Ltd the last a Fiat 500 Biposto, both low mileage and in excellent condition. Living in West Sussex viewing the cars beforehand was difficult so I opted for home delivery; This wasn't an issue as all I needed to know was detailed comprehensively on their easy to use website. I have a lot of trust & confidence in my dealings with Andrew and wouldn't buy elsewhere as a result. I've been fortunate to own many sports cars and my experience with them is something I feel you just don't get at many garages. Thank you BS Marson for a fantastic car with a professional and friendly experience. Jon ************************************ Soon after purchase I left a positive review as you can see, however as you will also see continued ownership turned into a nightmare; this is the story as factual as I can be. In the later part of 2024 I purchased from BS Marson & Son Ltd a rare Abarth 695 Biposto 'Record' for just over \xa322K. To start, it took the best part of a year for the garage to rectify an electrical fault. I also spent approximately \xa33200 at a local specialist to make repairs; some im convinced, but cannot prove, were present at handover. In addition, i decided to sell as harse ride due to standard fitment of extreme suspension springs. Subsequently I sold on Carwow, however the potential buyer informed me it was previously damaged and classified as a Category X unrecorded vehicle who's prior purchase was at a salvage auction; They cancelled the purchase, I was shocked. Paperwork mentions the vehicle being undriveable at Auction. As a result differences noticed during my ownership were incorrect bonnet fitted, missing badges, aftermarket induction kit and missing carbon fibre components and poor front end fitment and respray (poor masking tape positioning) I remain mortified how such a rare vehicle can be sold in such a poor condition. At no stage was I made aware either in their descriptions or in writing or by word of mouth. As a matter of interest 'Motorway' offered on or around \xa37000 (due to the accident incident) a derisory figure given the escalating value of these cars. I initially tried other garages but none would entertain a PX due to it's adverse history. Eventually, I was able to find a local garage who took the vehicle in PX, however, even after making a big loss I had to spend more than I wanted to get the PX value. When contacting senior managers of BS Marson & Son LTD on two occasions specifically about latter matters relating to the car i never received the courtesy of a reply. I get the impression they are trying to sweep this one under the carpet. I am certainly not a mug and dont wish to be treated like one. All im saying is beware here. Jonathan Crowley.
A fabulous family-run car garage. Marson & Sons helped my daughter get her first car and the whole experience was brilliant from start to finish. Steve was exceptional — no pressure at all, just honest advice and genuine care. The car is awesome and my daughter is absolutely over the moon. Highly recommended for anyone looking to buy from a trustworthy family business. We wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future
