MOT time again…… MOT carried out, and a broken spring was found. Replaced the same day! I was advised that a brake calliper had seen better days and I asked for both to be replaced along with the pads (of course) by the following day, the work was completed. As an aircraft mechanic of 46 years, I can safely say that the mechanics carry out their work to a VERY high standard. Garry and Ryan are extremely friendly, fair and professional - I can’t imagine ever using any other garage or buying a car from anywhere else. It is very rare to discover a business still operating to such high standards of customer care and efficiency.
Just bought a new car from Atlantic Motors. This is our 2nd car from Atlantic Motors in just under 3yrs.The service that we were given was Outstanding. Gary and Ryan look after you from start to finish. They have a great selection of cars. The trade in that Gary gave on our old car was to good to turn down. So if your thinking of getting a new car pop along to Atlantic Motors. A Garage where you recieve good honest Service. An outstanding Garage. Myself and my wife give this Garage 10/10.
Clutch went on arrival to tintagel, called the RAC and they towed me to this "RAC approved" garage.. (I'm not sure how that label is ascertained but I doubt it's a vigorous process). Left my car there on Saturday afternoon and picked up the hire car delighted we could carry on our exploration and my vehicle would be in safe hands (I came from Plymouth so would have been difficult to get home). Got a call on the Tuesday saying it was ready, only to be called again an hour later saying it wasn't. I retorted that this was fine and assumed their initial repair hadn't gone to plan and they'd rectify the initial defect. Got a call a day later saying it was ready for collection...due to working nights I enquired ifni could make the 2.5 hour round journey the following day and I was told they needed the 20 year old hire car back.. I said OK I'll pull a few strings and try and make it today, as well as enquiring how much I'd have to fork out. Now I had done a little bit of investigating whilst I was at home and my car was there to put my anxiety at ease and the average cost for a clutch replacement was \xa3550.. this is more than I'd initially had liked to have paid but seemed reasonable. When I discovered that the bill was 1000+ my jaw was inches from the floor. Apparently after having fixed one issue they discovered another.. and coincidently enough, they had the specific parts at site for my car to replace it in two days.. but didn't tell me during maintenance that the cost was doubling. I must state that its hard to tell if a garage has picked up a lump of metal and said "that's from your car and it's tits" or they've sourced an old part and said its yours.. but if you're charging someone a third of what their car is worth for 2 and half days work you'd like to think they'd at least keep you informed. I've put 2 stars because at least the car is running now. But if you break down here and have the opportunity to get towed closer to home do so.. or at least ensure they give you regular updates as to the maintenance and its price. I'd also be wary of 5 star reviews with no comments or tale behind it.
Fantastic deals and service. I recently bought a car from here and the service received has been brilliant. There were a couple of things I spotted on the vehicle which they were happy to resolve before purchase, as well as a full MOT and service. Ryan is professional and not a pushy salesperson which you seem to get at some car sales garages. A pleasure to deal with and I will 100% recommend to others and return for any future car purchases myself.
Went on the garages website filled out the online form booking car in , called on the morning i booked it in to double check and guy answered “ no we don’t do booking online “ “ why whatsup ?” told him issue i was having with car he couldn’t have been less interested the job was obviously not big enough, maybe if id have mentioned i wanted 4 new tyres as-well his ears might have pricked up and if had Cornish accent he might have been less of a rude , arrogant old man, oh and change online form on the website you manage if you don’t do bookings this way ?!
