Used Toyota hatchback cars

Toyota has plenty of different hatchback options for you to choose from. Smallest is the Aygo, which is aimed at younger drivers or those with a small budget. Next up is the Yaris, a rival to the VW Polo and Ford Fiesta. The largest are the Auris, Corolla and Prius family cars.

The Aygo is the smallest Toyota hatchback and is perfectly suited for busy towns. The bigger Yaris supermini is still a convenient size but has a more spacious interior. The Corolla replaced the Auris in 2019. They’re mid-size family cars, the same size as a VW Golf. The eco-friendly Prius is slightly bigger again.

The Yaris, Auris, Corolla and Prius are available as hybrids. The Aygo is only available with petrol engines. The latest Yaris (launched in 2020) is only available as a hybrid; its predecessor had petrol and hybrid options. The Auris has petrol, diesel or hybrid power. The Corolla was available with petrol engines until 2019 but since then the hybrid is the only option. The Prius is available in both self-charging and plug-in hybrid forms.

Whether hybrid or not, Toyota’s hatchbacks are very fuel efficient and extremely reliable, so running costs are low. They’re well equipped and keenly priced, so represent good value for money.
