The UK's Pathfinder models received a petrol and diesel engine, paired to a manual or an automatic gearbox and standard four-wheel drive.
The Pathfinder isn't cheap to run owing to its large size, but it does offer room for up to seven people, has strong towing ability, and benefits from a well-equipped cabin.
In the UK, it is difficult to find a petrol-engined Pathfinder. They are expensive to run, so most consumers opted for a diesel instead. These engines are more efficient and readily available on the used market.
The Pathfinder was available in two trims: Acenta and Tekna. The Tekna tends to be more popular because of all the added equipment, such as a satnav system, larger 18-inch alloy wheels and a 7.0-inch touchscreen.
There are a few luxuries that were available for the Pathfinder, such as a wood finish centre console. Some models also have upgraded wheel designs for added style or the 7.0-inch infotainment system with the sat nav capability, though this will be outdated by modern standards.
With seven seats inside, there's room for everyone in the family in the Pathfinder. It offers great towing ability and is equipped to take on uneven terrain, so it has been coveted by those looking for more adventure.
The UK did not receive a hybrid Pathfinder. Only diesel and petrol engines were offered in this country. However, other markets do have a hybrid option for the 4x4.
The Pathfinder was offered with both an automatic and a manual gearbox. Both are equally popular, so there shouldn't be an issue finding either among used cars.
All Pathfinder models made for the UK market include standard four-wheel drive.
