Thinking of getting a Mercedes-Benz convertible?

There’s a wide range of used Mercedes-Benz convertibles – everything from small two-seat sports cars up to luxury four-seaters and high-performance sports cars. So whatever type of convertible you want, there’s probably a Mercedes that’ll suit you. They all look good, feel great to drive, have luxurious interiors packed with high-tech features and are quite practical, too.

There are a lot of different used Mercedes convertibles available, spanning a range of sizes with two or four seats, petrol or diesel engines and hard or soft folding roofs. Two-seat Mercedes convertibles include the SLC, SLK, SL and AMG GT Roadster. Four-seat models – which Mercedes calls Cabriolets, another term for an open-top car – include the C-Class, E-Class and S-Class.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet – The smallest four-seat Mercedes convertible has space for an adult in each seat and a boot big enough for their weekend-away bags. Headroom in the back is a bit tight with the roof up, though. You can choose from petrol or diesel engines and get a driving experience as quiet and comfortable as in the C-Class saloon.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet – The E-Class sits between the smaller C-Class and the larger S-Class in Mercedes’ four-seat convertible range. It’s more spacious and practical than the smaller car and almost feels as luxurious as the larger car. It’s a great car for doing very long journeys, especially the diesel models, which can go as far as 700 miles on a single tank of fuel.

Mercedes-Benz SLC – The SLC is a small, two-seat sports car with a folding hard-top roof. Some models have roofs with a glass panel above the seats that turn dark or clear at the touch of a button. Unusually for this type of car, the SLC is available with diesel engines as well as petrol engines, and it feels more luxurious than rivals such as the Audi TT
