Used Ford Focus ST-Line X cars

The Ford Focus ST-Line X is a sporty-looking trim level of this popular mid-size car, available in both hatchback and estate forms. You get loads of features included as standard, a wide choice of efficient engines and excellent value for money.

The Ford Focus has long been a very popular mid-size hatchback and a rival to cars such as the Vauxhall Astra, Volkswagen Golf and Honda Civic. The Focus is available as a hatchback or as an estate, and you can choose from various petrol and diesel engines. There’s even an SUV-style Active version with raised suspension, and the powerful and fast ST hot hatchback.

The latest (fourth-generation) Ford Focus has been available since 2018 and was given an update in 2022 with a revised look and a new infotainment system. Ford has announced it will stop making the Focus in 2025. 

The ST-Line X sits near the top of the Ford Focus range, on a par with the more luxury-orientated Vignale model. The ST-Line X has a more sporty vibe but is also packed with features included as standard. It’s above the similar, but less well-equipped ST-Line, and the more affordable Zetec and Titanium models.

The ST-Line X’s standout features are its sporty styling, inspired by the high-performance Focus ST, and features you don’t get in the standard ST-Line trim. The X in the name denotes added luxury equipment and technology, which includes a big-screen infotainment display, an upgraded B&O sound system and a digital display in place of traditional analogue driving dials. It also comes with 18-inch alloy wheels and lower, stiffer sports suspension to make the already nippy Focus even more agile through the corners.

The amount of power or bhp that a Ford Focus ST-Line X has depends on which engine it has. Several petrol and diesel options have been available in this trim. Power in the petrol line-up ranges from 113bhp to 179bhp, while diesel models range from 113bhp to 147bhp. 

You can also find a Ford Fiesta small hatchback in an ST-Line X model, or in the larger Ford Kuga and Puma SUVs. Ford also produced a smaller Ecosport SUV in an ST-Line model, which could be ordered with an optional X pack – not strictly speaking an ST-Line X, but essentially the same thing.
