Used Ford estate cars

There are two Ford estate models – the Focus and larger Mondeo. Both are good-value family cars, available with a broad range of trims and plenty of petrol and diesel engines, so you should be able to find one to suit your needs.

The Mondeo estate is the larger of the two Ford estate models. Its boot has 525 litres of space and it seats five adult passengers in comfort. Curiously, the latest version of the smaller Focus (sold from 2018) has a bigger boot than the Mondeo, with 575 litres of space. So it’s a better bet if boot space is your priority. The back seats of both cars fold down to create more space.

Ford estates are roomy, affordable and fun to drive. The variety of engine and trim options means there’s probably one with the right style, power and equipment for you.

Because Ford isn’t a premium brand, its cars tend to be very competitively priced for what they offer. They come very well equipped – especially the high-end Titanium and Vignale trims – so represent good value for money. Most engines are fuel-efficient, too, so a Ford estate should offer low running costs.
