Used Audi Q3 S Line cars

The Audi Q3 is the second-smallest of the six SUVs that Audi currently makes, fitting in the range between the smaller Q2 and bigger Q4. The Q3 is a mid-size SUV rivalling cars like the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA. It’s also similar in size to cars such as the Nissan Qashqai and Ford Kuga. The current, second-generation Q3 has been sold new in the UK since 2018.

As well as the ‘standard’ model, you can buy the sleeker Sportback version, which has a lower, sportier roofline. You can also choose from petrol, diesel or plug-in hybrid power. Many models have an automatic gearbox and some have four-wheel drive, which Audi calls Quattro.

Audi S line trim gives its cars a sportier look, but it can be combined with just about any engine in each model range so you don’t necessarily have to go for a high-performance model that may give you higher running costs.

Audi sells an extensive range of high-performance cars that have names starting with ‘S’, including the S3 hot hatchback and the SQ7 SUV. In the mid-2000s, there was growing demand from customers for cars that looked like the high-performance models but were more affordable to run. Audi responded with S line trim, which combines bigger wheels, lower suspension and sporty-looking bumpers with ‘regular’ petrol and diesel engines.

The Audi Q3 S line is a mid-spec model in the range, sitting above the entry-level Sport model. In the current version of the Q3 (sold new since 2018), some of the features included as standard are sat nav, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto phone support, climate control, cruise control and rear parking sensors. Other Q3 models you might see – which have been phased in and out of the Q3 lineup over the years – include Technik and Edition 1.

The main difference between the S line and other models in the Audi Q3 range is its sporty-looking styling. On the current version, this includes 19-inch alloy wheels, deeper front and rear bumpers, more prominent side-skirts below the doors, body-colour wheel arch trim and lower suspension. Step inside and you’ll find sports front seats and steering wheel, brushed aluminium trim on the dashboard and doors, and stainless steel pedals.
