My experience at Oldham Volkswagen could have been better because the car has been sold electronically modified ( Ghost Immobilizer ) and it has not been properly explained to me how to disarm the system… As a result there were plenty of worrying messages ( check engine / gearbox fault etc ) on the dashboard causing an enormous amount of stress…Also I had to come back to the dealership ( from Rugby - 250 miles round trip ) for an investigation only to find out that there was nothing wrong with the car. Finally I have been instructed by an independent specialist how to properly use the Ghost. In my opinion the car should have not been sold to the customer electronically modified or at least a proper „training / explanation” should have been provided… I can only hope that this system will not cause any further problems going forward.
I had a great experience at Oldham Volkswagen because of Frank Spencer. He was so helpful and answered every question I had with a smile on his face, no matter how silly the question was. He kept me up to date for the full way and made what could have been a stressful experience, an exciting journey. Thankyou Frank
