How does the 7-Day Money Back Guarantee work?

You have up to 7 days to get to know your Cazoo car and make sure it suits you. If you change your mind  you can return it for a full refund. Just let us know by 8pm on the 7th day after your delivery or collection date. 

 You'll receive a full refund as long as the car is returned undamaged and without modifications. This means the car should be in the same condition as when it was received.

 During this 7-day period, you can drive the car up to 250 miles. If you drive the car over the 250 mile limit during the first 7 days, every additional mile will cost £1 per mile and we may not be able to accept the car as a return.

 Returning the car within the 7-Day Money Back Guarantee period

Once you’ve let us know that you’d like to return the car, you can either drop it off at a Customer Centre for free or we’ll pick it up from your door for £149. The pick up must take place within 14 days of when you received the car.

If this isn’t booked within 7 days of your delivery or collection date, or the car isn’t picked up within 14 days of delivery or collection date, you won’t be eligible for the 7-Day Money Back Guarantee.

If your car was delivered to you, we’ll need to pick it up at the same address. We'll also collect your V5C log book at the same time. If you haven't received it by the time we pick up the car, we’ll hold £200 as a deposit until you send us a clear picture of the V5C. Your V5C doesn’t come with the car but is usually posted to you by the DVLA within four weeks of you receiving it.

If you need to send us a picture, or you’d like to receive the deposit back sooner, please send a clear photo of each side of the V5C to [email protected] and we’ll process a refund within 48 hours. 

You must also remove any personal belongings before you hand your car over. Any personal belongings still in a car once it has been returned or sold to us are disposed of. 

If you part exchanged your old car and decide to return your Cazoo car within the 7-Day Money Back Guarantee period, we won’t be able to give you your old car back. We'll do our best to help you find an alternative Cazoo car. We’ll also pay you the cash equivalent of the part exchange via bank transfer.  

A little note on road tax 

If you’ve already bought your road tax and have decided to return the car, you’ll need to contact the DVLA to cancel your vehicle tax and request a refund
