I have had to create an account just for this since i'm ignored constantly by their customer service team. Promises of call backs that have never happened. They'll take your money and sell you a lemon. Legally speaking if a car is sold and there's a fault within the first six months of ownership it's presumed that fault was there at the point of sale. You can look up this consumer rights law for yourself. So, within six months you're covered for a fault, legally speaking of course. What about 9 days? Well, according to Hilton garage they can't help since we didn't purchase their warranty and I've been quoted £6500 for a new engine on a car that cost me £12000 that failed after 9 days. On speaking to a member of staff at the point of sale regarding their so called "safety checks" they informed me the cars were usually purchased from auctions and listed immediately, they were then checked for faults by their in house garage. The mechanic I spoke to, who i have trusted for 15 years, said even a trainee would have been able to spot the warped cylinder head which quickly failed and the car was very unsafe to be sold or driven. Like the other 1 star reviews essentially say, if you get lucky you might end up with an alright car following a slick sales operation. If you have an issue, that's another story. I no longer wish to engage with Hilton Garage and will be pursuing this through legal channels. If i were you I'd read through the 1* reviews carefully and note the heavy use of detail and recurring themes, over the 5* reviews you're "invited" to write after the sale is complete that are as generic as "Matt did a great job very happy." It's a shame but I suspect you'll only be reading this following a bad experience, but please hear my words when i say "do not trust."
bought a car on 6th March 2026, and you were informed of issues 10th March. This garage denied all responsibility and refused to help so I had to pay for work to be completed myself. We are now on 15th May, they do not call back when they say they will, they do not respond to emails despite apologising for delayed responses and will 'ensure it doesn't happen again'. After sales care is absolutely appalling. The warranty isn't worth the paper its written on as they do not respond and they haven't responded to a formal complaint either! Every time I ring them, I speak to someone different and despite the many emails, I have to explain the issues all over again. Attitudes of staff leaves a lot to be desired too. They will also respond to this review saying they don't agree with me as they have done with every other negative review they've received, and guaranteed they'll respond to this and still not ring me. Yes, I'm angry, but wouldn't you be if you've spent a large amount of money and then been ignored for 10 weeks? I wouldn't advise buying a car from here and I regret my decision immensely.
I had the best experience with Hilton Garage and can honestly say this company is staffed by true professionals. The car prices are fair and in line with the market, and the part-exchange valuation was very reasonable as well. The whole process was smooth and transparent from start to finish. It was genuinely a pleasure dealing with the team — everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I was especially impressed by the level of financial understanding and customer care throughout the process. Even banking professionals could learn something from the way everything was explained and handled here. A special thank you to my manager for helping me purchase a fantastic Toyota C-HR. The buying process was straightforward from step 1. The staff were easy to work with, all questions were answered satisfactorily and there was no pettiness when it came down to online part ex valuation. Note: I normally use Motorway to sell my car but the price offered by Hilton was competitive and made the overall transaction more simplified. The paperwork was all but complete on my arrival with just dotting of the i's and crossing of the t's required. I will be using Hilton again but will probably take advantage of the delivery option rather than a 3.5 hour trek each way!!
