2 Previous Owners, This Lot will be sold at auction at Symphony of Spring; Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 7th March. The BMW 3 series is a compact executive car manufactured since May 1975 and has been produced in six different generations and in five different body styles. It is BMW's bestselling model accounting for around 30% of the BMW brand's annual total sales and has won numerous awards throughout its history. The E30 was sold from 1982 through to 1991 in saloon form and through to 1993 in convertible format. Both fourcylinder and sixcylinder petrol engines were used, with a sixcylinder diesel added in 1985.This very good original example is presented in white with a black hood (new in 2024) and has a black interior with grey chequer cloth upholstery. It is powered by the smooth two litre sixcylinder engine which is mated to an automatic gearbox. The history file contains many old invoices, some service history and it has a MoT test certificate which expires in May 2026. These iconic and so chic models are very popular and have gained what could be described as cult status, with a nod to those affluent days of the Thatcher era in the 1980s and these BMW convertibles still look great with this example being no exception.
